Being 2000 years old, and having been ransacked for stone in order to build a castle, you can't expect to see fully formed buildings on this site. The museum has recently been taken over by cadw after being neglected by a political multi-ownership and unlike the empire, is on the rise again. Visit the museum on site and speak with the enthusiastic curator Tristan Jones who will allow you to handle 2000 year old artifacts and give you a true sense of what the site represents. It is well worth a visit just to imagine the sheer scale of the Roman Empire and their achievements. Thank you Tristan for an interesting visit to your "garden" on 26/04/2014
