“Hidden gem - for kids!”
Reviewed 15 June 2011

Picked up a leaflet while on holiday for somewhere we had not been before.

After paying the low admittance charge we expected to be in and out of the attration in the hour.

The park is run by the local council and not as commercialised as some other attractions.

The children got the site map and trail to find the various follie. The site is set on a large scall site and in wooded areas. The kids loved being able to run free to find the next hidden gem. There is no risk of cars so for the kids its a great adventure.

Yes some of the site could do with tidying up but bearing in mind the low admision chargers this can be forgiven.

If you want a safe, interesting adventure remember to wear trainers and get yourselves there.

Special mention for the cafe on site - mmmmmmmmm!

“Good arboretum and walks”
Reviewed 17 September 2010

It cost £4 to get in but the walks are lovely. There was a enchanting picnic area. Otherwise the features that were on the map, like the fountain that was covered in green slime and the cave that turned out to be locked were disappointing. The hermitage is graffitied and you can't go in. I think a bit more effort could be made by the Parc managers. Overall I enjoyed it but it's a place to go to only once really.
