An ideal place to stay to explore Snowdonia, Anglesey and the coast of Wales. Loved the quaintness of the property and sitting on the first terrace in the evening sunshine, an ideal way to finish the day. The only down side (which stopped me from giving a higher rating) was the parking as it was sometimes difficult to find somewhere close if you were late back in the evening. Also unloading/loading a bit tedious, especially if you encounter the unpleasant local housing authority warden! A shame such an individual can be detrimental to what is otherwise a great holiday rental.

A lovely cottage, with everything you need for a holiday base, within reach of most of the best tourist attractions of North Wales. The owner was easily contacted and answered every question promptly. The property was exactly as described and nicely secluded away from the road, with almost zero traffic noise meaning the outside area of the property can be utilised for meal times, which we did frequently. The outside picture on the website is out of date and doesn't do it justice, so I've added a new one.

The only downside to the property is that it doesn't have it's own allocated parking space, however the nature of Talysarn village is that all of the properties have on road parking and it was never an issue finding a parking space.

The village of Talysarn itself is representative of many villages in North Wales in the current economic climate and has seen better times, meaning there are no local amenities, not even a local pub at the time. There are shops and 'take aways' close by in Penygroes, but for family eating out or a large supermarket you'll need to travel to Caernarfon, which is only 15 minutes away.

A special mention for the neighbours, very friendly, always ready for a chat and very helpful. For example one day it rained and the neighbours took in our drying washing and then re-pegged it out when it had stopped raining. Superb!

A gem of a property for a holiday with excellent rates for school holiday times.

We have just returned from a relaxing 4 night stay at Ty Capel.
The cottage is ideally located for exploring snowdonia and provides a wonderful home from home environment.
The cottage is well equipped ,very comfortable and so peaceful.
We absolutely fell in love with the garden it's Perfect for an afternoon cup of tea sat in the sun.
We would definitely return

We stayed in this lovely cottage for weekend (only unfortunately) Place it self is located about max 20 min drive from snowdon mountain so it's pretty close with great views of mountains. Only one thing was for cons. Parking spaces, or lack of them.
I would recommend this cottage to everyone!!!

we stayed in the cottage for 2 nights and it was amazing, 2 nights just weren't enough. The cottage itself is located in a stunning location and is very quiet. Very clean and fully equipped, fantastic woodburner stove.
Our 4 year old loved it and didn't want to leave!
Helpful neighbor who couldn't do enough to help. Would most def recommend.
