We found ourselves searching for a nice meal in Caernafon and fell upon 'Wal' aptly named as it literally has a historic Wal running right through the middle of the restaurant, so a nice little talking point...

I ordered a bottle of Mercier which was served perfectly and the staff were all super friendly. The menu is Italian and our food was really really nice and all in all we had a really fun relaxed casual evening out that did not break the bank...

Great job the 'Wal Team'

Visited Wal for the first time on recommendation. Not bad food, presentation and ambiance though I think the menu lent itself more to a lunch visit rather than for dinner. A bit annoying if you in the back of the restaurant near the open plan kitchen to hear the chef shout "service" every few minutes. Serving staff shouldn't need calling to serve the food. A good place for Caernarfon which is desperate for decent eateries. It is nice to see a few springing up.

Nice little café bar, very attentive pleasant staff, nice décor. I ordered the 1/2 sandwich and homemade soup which was plenty enough portion wise and very tasty, my wife ordered a sandwich and fries which again was plentiful. Free coffee top ups and reading matter made it a relaxing place. Would go back again when in the area!

We stopped here for a quick bite and drink at lunch time, couldn't recommend it more, all the staff were really friendly and welcoming, very attentive also. Between our group of six we had homemade veg soup, fish finger sandwiches (must try!) chicken and chorizo wrap and chicken Caesar salad wrap, and drinks. All the food was so good, fresh ingredients, big portions, served quickly and really very very tasty. Would definitely go back if we were in the area! Reasonably priced too!

We eat out at least once per week. This has to be one of the worst restaurants we have ever had the displeasure to visit.

Quite simply THE most bland food I have ever not tasted.

Do yourself a big favour eat somewhere else. With a bottle of wine the bill was £60 - big waste of money.
