Popped into this bright and airy cafe for an all day breakfast, the lady behind the counter was very cheerful even on one of the hottest days of the year ( the cafe is very warm as lots of panes of glass), doors were opened to let a breeze cool the inside or you had the option to sit outside on a picnic table and watch the airport runway . Breakfast was very tasty , washed down with a decent pot of tea , a great place to pop into for straightforward home cooking .

Decided to try this place out on a Sunday afternoon drive and was pleasantly surprised. We had Sunday lunch which was beef.Portions were large considering you were paying under £7 it was all home cooked and the beef was melt in the mouth.
Well worth a visit

The floor was filthy, the staff were miserable and the food appalling. The chips were a dark brown, ham was dry, eggs were over cooked. Children's box meal contained the cheapest ingredients. It was our second visit, first time we put it down to bad luck but won't be returning for a third visit.

Enjoyed a tasty treat at the Apron Bistro after a visit to the Aviation Museum.
We were intending to have a sandwich lunch, but while perusing the menu & selection of sandwiches, the chef drew our attention to the £5 lunch special, which was a pork bap and a glass of orange juice.
The joint of pork on the servery looked very succulent, so we ordered and were so glad we did - it was a very satisfying meal.
Enormous baps were plastered thickly with stuffing, topped with freshly carved chunks of pork & crackling, then apple sauce and served with a mountain of green salad drizzled with balsamic dressing. The only minus point was that the orange juice was slightly warm!
The Apron Bistro is well worth a visit.
