We went to this restaurant at lunch time in April 2014 for a farewell meal for one of our colleagues. As we were a large group, we phoned beforehand to negotiate a set menu that would satisfy the party. The owners were more than happy to discuss the menu with us.
We decided on a two-course lunch that consisted of a large Tuscan platter filled with meats, cheeses, breads, pates and green salad. The platter was extremely tasty and reasonably priced as well. The second course was a Beef Ragu pasta dish. Again, this was extremely tasty and the produce used was second to none.
The restaurant had not long been open when we visited, but the owners were very relaxed, and took pride in explaining the menu to us beforehand, and discussed the providence of all the produce.
We were especially impressed at the owners' willingness to say a few things in Welsh to us as well, which made the group feel welcome and put us at ease in the restaurant.
A pleasant experience all round - Caernarfon is fast becoming a mecca for foodies in the area, with the likes of Blas, Y Wal, and Osteria in the area, as well as the proposed Spanish restaurant opening on Stryd Twll yn Wal.
