I went there for dinner and everything was amazing, The restaurant its located right in the old town of Caenarfon, its a two floor restaurant and we have dinner at the upper floor and the food was very good and tasty and big portions. We ordered carpaccio, pasta and Platter with special selection of Tuscan cured meat, cheese and crostini and everything was very nice. If i have a chance i would definetly come back to this restaurant

Ate here on 21st November, lovely looking place looking onto castle walls, large glass of wine was disappointingly small! Bruschette starters were quite nice. Bacon and onion pasta was absolutely diabolical it was not quite cooked packet pasta with fried onions and a tiny amount of paper thin ham and nothing else, no sauce, no garlic, no seasoning! We ate it out of politeness and left as soon as possible. We really should have complained but after a long journey from cumbria and hubby competing in conwy half marathon next morning didn't want to create a scene.

A wide choice of freshly prepared food in Tuscan style. There is also something for the vegetarian and gluten free food diner inc. bread and pasta. The menu is patiently explained with attention to detail by Sergio, who just happens to be a Sommelier ! So he can advise on an appropriate Italian wine to accompany your meal. His enthusiasm for Italian food and wine is equalled by the chef who is happy to accommodate a range of client preferences; she enjoys experimenting with her recipes! The small, intimate setting is stylish in its location in a tall old building next to a castle wall. The service is outstanding and makes for a most enjoyable experience.
There are tables on two floors, but it might be useful to make a reservation for evenings, especially at the weekend.
The restaurant is set down a narrow street so, in case you miss it, here's how to find it.
Stand in the main square with your back to the church, walk forward through the square continue ahead, ignoring the right turn or the left down to the harbour. After just
a few metres, there is a narrow alley on the right, called Hole in the wall st. and a billboard advertising OSTERIA .
An experience of real Tuscan food; not to be missed!

The food was delicious, we had a starter of 3 different bruschetta, which were excellent. Mains were an amazing melt-in-the-mouth braised beef stew and I had the courgette pasta, which was a little bland, but the pasta was nice. Red wine recommendation was very good. The table next to us was a group who looked as though they had been before and knew what they were doing - ordering a variety of dishes and sharing platters between them - quite a feast and it all looked incredible! Also the puds sounded to die for but I just didn't have room.

Would definitely visit again. It was all very good value and the waiter couldn't do enough for us. Wasn't so keen on the jazz music, but that's personal taste. Well worth a visit and go for the platters if you do!

Amazing Italian food, great wine in a beautiful location all served on a Welsh slate by knowledgable staff. I can recommend a bruschetta starter and then share a platter of Italian meats and cheeses with figs and honey followed by a trio of pannacotta. Delicious!
