The B&B is beautiful. Inside the old walls of caernarfon castle and walking distance of some great spots. The room was great. Cleaned daily with fresh towels when needed. Karen and Mark made us feel more than welcome and the cooked breakfast really sets you up for the day. We will be back!!!!

Managed to park almost opposite the guest house. Stayed one night in the family room, double bed & bunk beds. Very clean fresh & compact, but then it was only for sleeping in so not much space needed. Flat screen TV, Fridge with complimentary bottles of water & jug of fresh milk. Kettle with tea coffee, hot chocolate & chocolate biscuits. Big fluffy bath towels, hair dryer, shower gel, even foamy face cleansers. Everything you need if you're travelling light. Mark & Karen were very friendly. Breakfast was amazing!! Choice of fresh juice, yogurts, cereals, tea coffee, toast & full cooked breakfast cooked to your requirement. Excellent location within the castle walls. Walking distance to the harbour, which was handy as we dined out at Fu's restaurant in the harbour. Would most certainly stay there again and most defiantly would recommend it.

We only stayed for one night as we left it too late as usual, but were delighted with the Caer Menai. Excellent central location within the City Walls, which did mean that parking was very limited (we unloaded outside and then luckily got a space in the Harbour car park just a short walk away) but that is to be accepted in such a historic location! The B&B has a lovely relaxed feel to it, the family room was very spacious, clean and well equipped and the en-suite bathroom was spotless (the hot shower was well appreciated after a long days driving) The bed was very comfortable and we heard no noise or disturbance during our stay apart from a very vocal Gull outside somewhere.
Breakfast as many have mentioned was excellent!!! Anyone who values a cooked sauasge should stay here for the snorkers alone. The owners were very helpful and friendly. Overall I wouldn't hesitate in recommending this B&B to anyone who wants a superb location to base their stay in Snowdonia. We will return...

From the moment we stepped through the door we were met with a smile. The room was clean and fresh , with super soft white towels, bathrobes and slippers. Tea,coffee and hot chocolate, with biscuits and fresh milk in the fridge , yes a fridge in the room , ideal for chillin down a bottle of wine , and wine glasses and a bottle opener were provided.
The breakfast was outstanding, cooked fresh and to your taste, fresh juice, coffee and tea with lots of little extras , you really could not ask for more.
Just brilliant .

This B&B was great - the breakfast was plentiful (cereals, fruit, yoghurt and a full cooked breakfast - even black pudding if you wanted it.

Mark was exceptionally helpful, just took my bag upstairs without even asking if I needed any help which really impressed me as we'd been to many in our three week travels and none had offered.

The room was clean and airy and even had a bath. It was also very quiet which is something else we had struggled to find.

If I was to be picky and look for something I would have liked to see more sockets for iPads, phones etc. there was only 1 I could find, a double which was slightly hidden by a dresser and with the kettle it only left 1. This was fine for me being a solo traveller but with various devices and a camera if there had been 2 of us it could have been an issue.

However, this was one of the best, friendliest places I've stayed at and wouldn't hesitate to stay again and highly recommend it.

I stayed here for two nights with my wife whilst we were exploring Snowdonia. The location is perfect for exploring, right by the sea side and built within castle walls.

We were really impressed with Caer Menai, the owners were friendly and professional and there were so many little touches such as freshly baked bread for breakfast, little shower gels and toiletries you would expect from a good quality hotel, small fridge in the room filled with complimentary water and milk, well stocked tea and coffee making facilities. On top of all of this the cleanliness of the B & B was first class yet still had lots of character.

Highly recommended.

Caer Menai is located in one of the streets in the walled section of Caernarfon. A very friendly welcome from Karen, who showed us to a clean, modern and comfortable family room overlooking the street. The room had many guest accessories, including fresh milk and water in the fridge. The bed was comfortable and there was no noise from the street at night.
The house is only a short walk to the town, the castle and the Welsh Highland Railway station (a trip well worth doing). The quiet street is a stone's throw from the promenade along the Menai Straits, which is a very pleasant walk. Street parking is limited but there are public car parks nearby.
Breakfast was served in the comfortable dining room and was a very good selection. I especially enjoyed the smoked haddock.
A very comfortable stay and we would definitely go back.
