I can't really add anything to the previous reviews and also warmly recommend this B&B. The rooms are charmingly old fashioned and the house and very large garden a beautiful place to relax in. The B&B only lets two rooms and there were many other guests of the household around, but we still felt relaxed and enjoyed a lot of freedom to explore; the list of local restaurants provided has some very good recommendations too. The house is an excellent base for exploring the nearby Black Mountains, Brecon Becons and Usk Valley.

This was like staying in someone's home as a house guest. We were lucky enough to have the place to ourselves even though there were several other rooms in the house. It is a lovely Edwardian house in a beautiful garden and it even has an outdoor pool, which we were lucky enough to be able to use during our stay and it was very pleasant, surrounded by hedges which keep any wind at bay. We had our own guest sitting room and were served a tasty breakfast with local produce, in their very grand dining room, and were able to toast our own toast to boot! Home-made jams and honey completed the meal. The owners were very relaxed, very welcoming and friendly and breakfast times were flexible. The rooms were large and very comfortable and even though they weren't en-suite, that didn't matter due to the intimacy of the atmosphere in the house and the fact the owners actually have another stairs to use as well as the main one. It was truly a special few days.

Room Tip: Any are nice, but some are above their sitting room near the front door, and one or two of the other...

My sister and I spent one night whilst meeting relatives from other parts of Wales. It was a delightful and unexpected experience. The owners were both welcoming and informatiive. They have a lovely home which you feel happy to share and they provide an unobtrusive easy going service. We were given tea and cake on arrival and when we asked about morning tea were given a tea tray with electric kettle etc.. Breakfast is served in a wonderful dining room overlooking the garden .We had intended not to eat too much but the fresh raspberries and yoghurt followed by a fried breakfastt with toast with home made jellies and jams, well we felt we had to try! The gardens are wonderful and we were so pleased we borrowed a large umbrella and ventured out in the rain to see them as they extend far beyond the view from the windows. My sister in fact wished that instead of meeting relatives for lunch she could curl up with a book and enjoy the relaxing atmosphere. I do hope we visit again and I cannot recommend this home highly enough. It is not a Hilton it is a beautiful slice of old world comfort!
