Just to say,
warm and cosy now in my bed on my last possible visit day,
work has taken me away from this idilic peaceful haven in wales,
and i wiil be back with my partner nest time ASAP can,
thanks to Sue and family for their warm welcome,
and as she she said to me on the phone,
"just bring yourself everything else you need is here"
that of course in wales includes, peace, beautiful countryside, abundantly healthy wildlife and always a warm welcome :-) x

Excellent.Loved the place and thoroughly enjoyed every minute of our stay.Sue and Tony went out of their way to help us find our way round the area.Nothing was too much trouble.Grounds spectacular in very peaceful location

We arrived and were made welcome with tea and Welsh cakes. Our hosts were helpful but very careful to preserve our privacy. All was comfortable and very clean. Parking, views and huge garden lovely. We will happily stay again when we next visit. Feels rural with views and yet close to the by pass ideal for us. A car is needed.

We received a warm welcome and a tour of the Cottage. Although the Cottage is attached to the owner's house we hardly saw them.
The Cottage was very well equipped and of a high standard and the bed was comfortable.
The Cottage is very close to the A465 Head of the Valleys Road. It is also about 100 - 200 years away from access to the Breacon to Monmouth Canal which has got to be one of the most picturesque canals we've seen.
Pub near by serving food until 9 pm. The pub is reached by the canal so a torch would be useful. Although we'd brought our own we did find a better one in a cupboard.
Describing what we liked least is so difficult since we loved every aspect. The Cottage was a tad cold on arrival but this has turned out to be the 2nd coldest March since records began. We had jumpers and a lovely electric blanket on the bed.
I'd give the property a resounding 6 out of 5!

While working in the area I stayed here over a series of weeks as a fantastic alternative to Hotels. The place works well as a base for travelling the area. A canal and a few hills are close by for walking. A small pub is also about 10 minutes walk for a bite of food.
