“Great Cottage run by Lovely people”
Reviewed 13 March 2013 for a stay in March 2013

Even before we arrived Liz who runs the place with her daughter was already making sure that our stay would be trouble free via email. A good start we thought.

A really friendly greeting was recieved on our arrival and after been shown around the cottage we were left to our own devices and even though Liz and Kate live in an adjoining house it soon feels like your very own home away from home. Attention to detail is evident throughout the cottage with decor being very understated(in a very good way) and stylish, the kitchen has all the utensils you could name, we even brought a garlic crusher and Cafetier with us, both of which were allready supplied. A range of DVD's, books, magazines and puzzles for kids were also supplied. You even get freshly homebaked bread, Eggs from Liz and Kates chickens and coffe and tea on your arrival, nice touch.

Our Daughter absolutley loved the 11 chickens that roam about the houses garden and was frilled when Liz let her feed them and collect the eggs. The garden also has a huge trampoline(with safety net) rope swing and other things to keep little ones amused.

Liz is a lovely person and very attentive to all your needs, making sure your stay is the best it can be.

The only thing that we would have changed would have been to spend more time in the local area as we spent both days a considerable distance away(Hay-on-Wye and the Brecon Beacons National park) as the walk along the river sounded really nice.

We all had a great break and would have no hesitation in booking again.

Thank you
