“Look no further!”
Reviewed 20 June 2016 for a stay in June 2016

This place is an absolute gem of a find, whether you are a family, couple or group of friends, this will suit all. Immaculately clean, superbly kitted out, attention to details is second to none. Roz and Pip have thought of everything, and the welcome touches of homemade cake, fresh eggs, wine and fresh flowers are lovely. Everything is so comfortable, the beds, linens, towels are high quality and all of us wnated to know what the soap was!. Scenerly and location is breathtaking and and Abergavenny has something for all. We ate in the first night a delight to cook in the well stocked kitchen, plenty of glasses, crockery etc. On the Saturday we all went to The Walnut Tree for a special Birthday celebration which was fabulous, food great no frills or fuss of a ususal Michelin star restaurant, just fabulous food and very reasonable too. We took a trip to the Sugar Loaf vineyard at the bottom of the hill and wiled away a couple of hours sitting in the sun, sampling the Welsh wine and had a tasty sharing platter. Sunday evening we ate at the Kings Arms where the Spanish tomato and chilli seafood stew would defintiely give the Walnut Tree a tirun for its money! It was amazing! The Girls WILL be back and we will stay here again! Thank you

“Magical spot”
Reviewed 12 April 2016 for a stay in March 2016

Just returned from a long weekend at the Old Barn with my husband, son and large hound! In a wonderful spot; seems very remote but only 10 minute drive from Abergavenny. Nicely renovated with top quality appliances and an eclectic mix of furniture. Extremely clean and very hospitable owners. Brilliant location for walking with spectacular views. Path leading to Sugar Loaf mountain runs by the side of the property. Lots of excellent restaurants in the area but it was difficult to drag ourselves away from the warm cosy barn!

“Third time here, still perfect, can't wait to come again!”
Reviewed 10 March 2016 for a stay in March 2016

The Old Barn is set in the most perfect peaceful location with amazing walks straight from the door. All you can hear is bird song. The property is "top notch" A beautifully renovated barn, with a stylish modern interior. Everything you could need. An extremely well equipped kitchen. You can see the stars whilst luxuriating in the beautiful roll top bath. The owners are attentive whilst unobtrusive, they truly make you feel like they want your stay to be as good as it possibly can be. Dog also made very welcome.

“Superb accomodation in a wonderful location”
Reviewed 14 September 2015 for a stay in September 2015

We were made to feel very welcome with our two large hounds. The barn was very well equipped, very clean, plenty of room (there is a large area for boots and walking kit etc.) and so beautifully furnished with a contemporary edge. It didn't rain but if it had, we would still have enjoyed every minute in the cosiness and tranquillity of this accommodation.

“Fabulous place to stay with beautiful views”
Reviewed 7 July 2015 for a stay in July 2015

The Old Barn has been converted to a high standard, and is in the most fantastic location for walking and views. And if you are a fairly fit cyclist then the hills around Abergavenny and the one leading back to the Old Barn will test you.

“A charming barn conversion in the heart of rural Monmouthshire”
Reviewed 31 May 2015 for a stay in May 2015

The Old Barn is a spacious conversion providing 3 good-sized bedrooms set in the rural heart of the picturesque Monmouthshire. It offers a peaceful setting, with magnificent views of the surrounding countryside including Sugarloaf Mountain but is only a short drive from the amenities of Abergavenny. It is ideally situated for visits to the many local attractions, walking the Brecon Beacons or just relaxing with a glass of wine! In my opinion, it thoroughly deserves all the five star reviews.
