The small nature of the hotel and exterior might make you think twice, but once you set foot into this hotel you're in heaven... Jo and Henrique welcome you in their home and make YOU feel like you're at home! We originally planned on staying for one night only, but instead decided on coming back for another evening the day after, after having toured Anglesey and the local area around Conwy... We had stayed so well that we couldn't wait to go back already!

Firstly, the rooms: as a family of 3, we had a double (number 2) and a single (number 4) with beautiful views, beautiful decor and amazing facilities, inc. tea, coffee, biscuits and everything to make you feel warm and welcome!

Secondly, the owners: oh, did they treat us well! Felt so welcomed it was amazing! Their home-cooked breakfast and their warm heartfelt welcome makes them deserve all the best in life! They definitely look after the place a lot, and their guests too... There to take all requests, explain everything, give advice on attractions and sightseeing and more, they're amazing at everything they do! Born hoteliers!!

Their lounge area is beautiful, with a live fireplace in the evening and very well decorated, including plenty of books for guests to borrow!

Some rooms have an amazing castle/bay view, which makes everything even better!

Recommended to ANYONE!! I honestly can't wait to go back! I stayed with my parents in April 2014!

We stayed 2 nights in a family room. It was really nicely decorated, with a clean, modern en-suite shower room. The floorboards were quite creaky, but it's an old buidling after all. I just felt a bit sorry for the people in the room beneath us! The breakfast was excellent, and really well presented. They even offered vegetarian sausages, always a bonus for me! We didn't have to ask for more toast or coffee, it was offered. There's easy parking outside, and it's a two minute walk from the very pretty town. Would recommend this place.

I booked into the hotel on the off chance after a 300 mile motorbike ride not really expecting to find anywhere decent, Wow, was I mistaken. The owners couldn't do enough for me. I will definitely be back with my family. The breakfast was one of the best I have ever had. The room was superb. I just can't say enough good things about the place. Many many thanks, I will be back soon.

We have just returned from a 3 night stay at the Castlebank Hotel. From the moment we arrived nothing was too much trouble for Henrique and Jo. They have got things just right attentive but not intrusive. Henrique appeared at just the right moment to attend to our needs. A very friendly genuine couple. We had dinner at the hotel and the food equalled any top resturaunt. Overall excellent service and value forr money. This was our 2nd visit
and we will definitely be returning.

Four of us arrived on Saturday afternoon on mmotorcycles after a very wet and windy 125miles
Henrique met us with a wam welcome and after showing us to our rooms he disappeared with all our wet clothing and assured he would dry it all out for the following morning. Breakfast was what I would expect from a four star hotel and all freshly cooked.henrique seems a real genuine guy and nothing is too much trouble for him.we will be back and have already recommended to our friends. We'll done Henry and Jo.Many hoteliers could learn a lot from these guys.

Another excellent stay in the Castlebank.
Greeting was as warm and welcoming as always, despite the terrible conditions on Saturday.
The owners have achieved and maintained a very high standard over the last few years I've stayed here.
We're always happy to return here and recommend the Castlebank without hesitation.

Room Tip: They're all fine

Booked at short notice but they didn't want credit card details & even said that if the weather turned pear shape just let them know that we wouldn't be arriving.
The hotel had only just reopened but it was warm & welcoming even though it was cold outside. Our room was lovely & very comfortable. There was a good choice at breakfast. All in all an excellent place to stay in a central location with attentive & friendly hosts. We have stayed once before & will definitely return.
