Myself, husband, daughter and son-in-law stayed for 3 nights and found the cottage was just as described by other guests....ideal location with everything provided, including tea, coffee, sugar washing up liquid dishcloths, tea towels etc, to ensure a comfortable stay. We had some good weather during our stay which enabled us to eat outside for most meals including breakfast and enjoy late afternoon/early evening drinks in the suntrap of a garden. The outdoor table was large enough to seat 6 people and had very comfortable chairs, this made up for the, due to lack of space, small fold up dining table in the lounge. The cottage is small and I think if the weather was bad then 4 adults may find it a little cramped. Beds were very comfortable with feather pillows and duvets. There were plenty of towels provided although being black they were very faded and some marked with what looked like bleach i don't think black is the best colour for guest towels. The fixed shower screen on the bath made it difficult for myself, who has slight mobility problems, to get in the bath for a shower.. a grab rail would be useful. The cottage is literally 5 minutes away from shops, bars, pubs and restaurants buses, trains and only 10 minutes away from Conwy harbour. Perfect base to explore the rest of North Wales. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would maybe book for a few more nights next time.
What a wonderful little find! We stayed for 2 nights with friends visiting from Canada. The cottage is very clean and cute, with all the modern conveniences you could need. The backyard patio is absolutely fantastic for sitting out with a glass of wine and a meal while taking in the amazing view. The old castle walls are literally 10 steps from your front door, and Main Street with pubs and shops and the seaside boardwalk are just a quick 5 minute walk. Andrew was a very friendly and helpful host. Lock box key entry make it very easy to check into the house, and host had it well stocked with coffee, tea, toiletries and towels for our convenience. Will 100% make this our go to booking for our future Conwy visits. Was a perfect weekend holiday!
We enjoyed our stay at Ty Pen Y BRYAN in Conwy, Wales. The rooms were all comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked with equipment. Lovely courtyard as well. When we had a problem turning on heat, Andy took care of it immediately and brought us a bottle of wine for our trouble. It was in a great location and we would not hesitate to stay there again.
Had a lovely short break at this cottage again. Ty Pen y Bryn is well equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay and found it very dog friendly. The courtyard is a good size which is rare in the middle of Conwy and has good views overlooking Conwy Castle. The decor has changed quite a lot since we last stayed and can only say its even better. Location is handy for all attractions and we had no problems with parking. Would definitely stay here again.
Cottage is ideally situated in the heart of Conwy, right next to the old town walls. Only small but very comfy. Kitchen had everything you could wish for and the enclosed back yard, has a fire pit and barbecue, with a great view of Conwy Castle. Bathroom needs a bit of TLC, but can cope with that. We had an enjoyable stay and location is ideal for visiting other parts of North Wales.
I have stayed in the Uppergate Street house every other year since around 2005 now, and never been anything other than ecstatic with my stay, and it still will always be my favourite place to venture for a short break. Andy is a gentleman and his customer service skills are second to none, if you have any queries he is always on hand to help.
The house is very clean, has a spacious living room with a TV and dvd player, comfy seating, central heating, fridge/freezer, oven with hobs, microwave, kettle, and all kitchen appliances are included in the price paid. Spacious back yard with table and chairs, great for sitting out in summer and overlooking the beautiful views of Conwy. There are two good sized bedrooms and a bathroom with shower and bath. parking to the front up the small hill or pay and display to the left and through the bridge. This house is situated in the walls of Conwy, and very close to the town centre (literally a 2 minute walk), home of the best butchers in north wales (Edwards of Conwy). Plenty of pubs to visit, good takeaways, gift shops, newsagents, restaurants, and plenty to see and do - you can visit the smallest house, check out the views on the dock and go fishing, take a look around the famous Conwy Castle, plus much more.
Very reasonably priced for how good this property is, suitable for all and great for a break all year round and I highly recommended booking!
Thanks again Andy.
