Gorgeous property with everything you could possibly need. Set in a beautiful location but so near all the activities of the coast and Snowdonia.

“Birthday Treat”
Reviewed 26 April 2016 for a stay in April 2016

My son's fiance booked this property as a secret birthday treat for him. Me and my wife tagged along and we had a lovely stay. The property is well equipped and very comfortable with a nice kitchen/diner, bedrooms and lounge. There is a log fire and plenty of logs, French doors onto a private patio with garden furniture and a bbq. The property is one of several in a converted stable block, with shared access to a private walled garden. We were the only persons there at the time so it was very quiet, but you would have to accept a degree of disturbance from other residents with full occupancy. The property is well placed in the Conwy valley, handy for Snowdonia, but close to town for supplies etc. There are plenty of pubs and restaurants nearby, with lambs in the fields and plenty of wildlife to see. This is a perfect place for a quiet brew or family holiday, we would definitely use it again. The owners were friendly and helpful and on site if required.

“Great well equipped cottage”
Reviewed 13 September 2015 for a stay in September 2015

We stayed here for a week in early September. The cottage is in a great location for visiting North Wales and even better the weather was good all week with little rain. We looked at two cottages at this location (Conway Valley Cottages) but glad we decided to book this one. Very well equipped and appointed and better than average self catering properties we have stayed in. The cottage has recently been refurbished/decorated and this was to a high standard. The Lounge was a good size with TV/CD and two sofas and overlooked the valley. The kitchen included a dining area and had good units with lots of storage space, microwave, cooker and a dishwasher. The main bedroom had a large double bed with good wardrobe, drawers and chairs. Again the room overlooked the valley. My wife recognised the curtains as being Laura Ashley so this gives a good indication of the standard of the cottage. It had a small courtyard with table and chairs that seemed to have the sun most of the time. The bathroom was well equipped with an over bath shower and a shower attachment as part of the bath taps. Parking was next to the cottage which adjoined the owners house who welcomed us on arrival. There are other cottages in a nearby courtyard. Overall an excellent cottage which we would thoroughly recommend being just off the B5106 from Conwy to Betws y Coed.

“Wonderful Stay”

We booked from Australia and found Is y Coed lived up to all our expectations. Centrally located for our visit to North Wales and with all amenities we needed. Set in a farm, we were private and quiet, with a high standard of accommodation. We'll certainly look forward to another visit. Our host, Neil answered any questions we had and was only a phone call away.

“I'll go and stay there again.”
Reviewed 5 October 2014 for a stay in September 2014

I stayed at Is y coed for a week. It is perfectly located for visiting North Wales. ( Center of it)
The cottage is comfortable, like a home from home. I like the kitchen, the beds. The host is nice and warm.
I loved this area very much. Luckily enough, all the days I was there the weather was good too. I visited many beautiful places. But still a lot of places I want to see. I'll go again next year and I'll stay at Is y Coed again.

“Very comfortable in a great location”
Reviewed 17 September 2013 for a stay in August 2013

We really enjoyed our stay here. The property is one of a number of holiday rentals on the site but the layout was such that 'Is y Coed' is separate to the other rental cottages. The property is finished to a very high standard and could not fault it in any way. The beds were very comfortable which is unusual in my experience! A perfect location for discovering the area and only a short drive from the centre of Conwy. The only reason I give it four stars was the lack of contact from the owner leading up to our stay which created unnecessary stress for my wife!
