For a little hole in the wall place we tripped over almost in passing, the food packed a delicious punch. I can't expand on variations on the menu, but the haddock and cod (we had both) and the chips were outstanding. The batter on the fish was thin and crispy and very tasty, just the way you want it. The fish tasted very fresh with a nice clean taste to it. The chips were hot and delicious.
Ambience-wise it was a little short on creature comforts (at least the room at street level where we ate was) and was very basic. They have an upstairs dining room we saw people go into, don't know what that was like. We were the only ones seated in front when we went in but the place was packed by the time we left. Our table top took several passes of cleaning to actually get it clean, but other than that, I can't complain.
Worth a stop if you're feeling hungry for fish and chips while visiting Conwy.
