“Stay away if you're not a local!”
Reviewed 30 June 2013 via mobile

Usd to drink in the Liverpool Arms many years ago so went back for Old times sake whilst looking to move back to the area. If we do we will avoid the place like the plague. Asked the barmaid if either of the casks was a blond beer and was told"how would I know !!" settled on a Stella and a dry white wine which she poured into plastic glasses. When I asked for proper glasses (as each of the other customers had, she informed me that I was not local therefore I had to have plastic glasses). Needless to say, not happy, walked out and will not return when we move back to my wife's childhood home.

“This pub don't keep a good pint or a good toilet.”
Reviewed 5 May 2013 via mobile

The only thing this pub has going for it is its location. It's nice and oldie worldly inside too, but the smell of the toilets greets you as you walk up to the bar. If you like a real ale there are better kept pints in other pubs in the town. Customer service is hit and miss. Witnessed a bloke bringing back his pint because he wasn't happy with it. He was told 'you've drank enough of it'. To me it looked like he'd drank a couple of mouth fulls. He never got a replacement pint, leaving the one he brought back on the bar. Go to this pub with low expectations, that way you won't be disappointed.

“Good old fashioned boozer”
Reviewed 3 March 2013 via mobile

I love this pub. It's traditional and full of characters. Always have a few pints here when visiting Conwy. Prefer it this time of the year when it is quite but spring is on the way. Can get too busy during tourist season. In my view it is the best pub in Conwy but don't think they do food or at least I have never seen it being served

“Friendly Cheap Dog Friendly Traditional Pub with Fires”
Reviewed 20 February 2013

Good friendly traditional pub. Rather small but great if you get a seat. Dog friendly - right on the sea front. Open fires are lovely in the cold winter. Cheap beers.

“Fab location but needs investment.”
Reviewed 3 February 2013

Located on the quay side at Conwy, the Liverpool Arms has a fantastic location with views across the river to Deganwy. During summer you can sit outside and watch the fishermen and boats but it does get busy with good weather or during the Conwy Food Festival.
I am a little surprised the pub does not have local real ales. It has only Brains SA and Bass real ales. The Liverpool Arms does not do food.
For me, while the pub certainly has character, it is looking "tired". On my last visit, one area that needed definate attention were the gents toilets which were in urgent need of update and repair.
With a little sympathetic update, this pub could be really attactive.
