This was one of the most beautiful places I have ever stayed in. We chose it as we have a dog and dogs are allowed here.

When we arrived, they made us welcome and gave us coffee in the lounge. Our room (they tell us the most in need of decoration but you couldn't tell) was gorgeous with the most amazing view. The room and the rest of the house was totally spotless. I am quite shocked by the one bad review here as we found the total opposite. I did not see one dog hair the whole time we were there.

Breakfast was very nice, the restaurant is lovely. We had a meal on the last night..............if you go, try the mushroom ravioli! We really enjoyed it.

The staff were friendly and helpful. Bre is so friendly and really makes it feel like you are visiting her home rather than staying in a hotel.
My dog Jack was also made to feel welcome and he had the time of his life. They even leave a throw for the dog and some treats!

We are hoping to go back again for our anniversary. We are recommending it to everyone we know.

I`m glad I paid attention to the awards this hotel has EARNED rather than what I can only presume is a one-off bad experience by the other reviewer. I can see why the owners want to call this a house and not hotel, because on entry you are made to feel that you have been welcomed before. Nothing was any trouble, the food cooked by Graham the chef was superb, and I wish I had been hungry enough to ask for seconds, which was definately on offer too! The whole ambience is welcoming, the rooms spacious and well-equipped, and there would have to be a long term booking involved to get through the VAST collections of videos or books you can borrow. We ended up being involved in wedding preparations while we stayed (which wasnt long enough), and even then the owners went to special lengths to make sure there was no conflicts to either parties being "invaded" by the other, but friendly mood was the order of the day, and I can only presume the happy couple and guests were very well catered for! There are plans afoot for expansion to this establishment, explained to us in superb detail, which only fuels our enthusiasm to return next year (if not before). Oh, and, if dogs upset you, its not a kennels. There are 3 playful dogs which will play any kids to complete tiredness with a football(which is enthusiastically returned to your feet), which will leave you alone if you dont want to play - and as for dog droppings, I never stood in any at all (spotted someone clearing up a couple early on in the morning, which I thought normal to start the day), and I`m the one that doing things like that! Like I say hope the cheque is in the post(not!), seriously, this turned into the most pleasant welcoming stay I have had in any hotel (sorry Bre, thats the label!) with so much on the doorstep we never had the chance to explore. If you DO have dogs then feel welcome as well, they have room to play too!

A brilliant place to stay. Very welcoming and the views are superb. The staff were friendly and couldn't do enough for us. The whole place was warm, welcoming and had a relaxed unfussy atmosphere. A great place to recharge your batteries. We really enjoyed playing football with the dogs and curling up afterwards with a drink in the lounge - love the squishy sofas! We'll definately be going back and are looking forward to some more brilliant food cooked by Graham.

Just spend the best three days at this lovely Hotel in Wales. More a home than a hotel, Friendly people, a brilliant footballing collie dog and scrummy food. Great attention to detail. We'll tell our friends.

A very disapointing hotel. If you like stained carpet, muddy dog prints on the bed covers and a poorly draining shower with no door then this could be the place for you. Take some flea spray with you.
In view of the fact that this place was AA 5 diamond recommended and featured on the Wales Tourist Board website it was a serious letdown.
The main rooms were pleasant enough but the whole place had a grubby feel to it with unwashed windows and dog poo all over the parking area.
It spoilt our holiday.
