We stayed for 2 nights over the long weekend. Every aspect of our stay was fantastic. The house is lovely and immediately makes you feel at home when you walk in. From the moment we arrived we were treated with a warm and friendly manner. The house is an easy (and pleasant) 10-15min walk to town and has great options for dinner (pub / marina) nearby.

Features of the property which added to our stay were the clean and comfortable rooms, the superb breakfasts and the DVD library. Chris and Jan's detailed guidance and maps for the town and area were above and beyond expectations.

Although there are other B&B's in Conwy town itself, I would most certainly return to Whinward House again.

We had to book this break at the last minute and Janis and Chris could not have been more helpful in accommodating us. As before we were welcomed as old friends and looked after as if we were family, Nothing is ever too much trouble. Whinward House is very well placed for exploring this part of the country whether you just want to potter or do something more energetic. If in doubt Chris and Janis can offer lots of suggestions! They also have some good suggestions for places to eat. Breakfasts are delicious and generous. We will definately be back., far better than many hotels we have stayed in!

Other reviewers have pointed out the great hospitality and many fine touches at this B&B. I would add that Janis and Chris also pointed us in the direction of a wonderful hike up Mt. Conwy, and several great routes for running - not to be missed if you enjoy that sort of thing. The property is a short, pleasant walk from the walls of Conwy Castle. The only thing that would separate this property from 5 stars across the board, in my mind, is that our room, while clean and comfortable, was a little cluttered.

We spent 5 weeks touring the UK and mostly stayed in B&B's - suffice to say that our stay with Jan & Chris was among the best we experienced - there were lots of little extra touches that only reinforced the feeling that our hosts cared for us (& are interesting nice people BTW) - we'd definitely recommend a stay here and be sure to visit the recommended pub up the road - the White Horse from memory.

Whinward House is an oasis nestled 10 mins walk from the centre of Conwy. The hosts Jan and Chris are lovely, they can't do enough for you. The house is beautiful, clean, tidy and have lots of little extra touches that make the stay perfect! I highly recommend staying at Whinward House, whether sightseeing in Conwy or further afield - you will look forward to coming back to the comfort of the house and hosts. Breakfast is amazing, homemade bread, local products... PERFECT :-)
