We stayed in the Bridge End for a couple of nights. Our room was adequate, it was clean and had everything we needed. It was fairly small but had a good view and was in a good location, the view of river was lovely, and nice to go to sleep with the sound of the water.
Friendly service, breakfast excellent - they actually fried the mushrooms, you usually get those strange rubbery things in a b and b, also flexible with good choice, you could add or delete items. Above the pub so did get noisy but this did not bother us.

Room Tip: Ask for river view

Just returned from this little gem in the beautiful river town of Llangollen. The service was excellent from both bar staff, and waitresses who looked after us very well. The hotel owner came round at breakfast this morning (which was very good offering a wide choice) asking everyone if their food was satisfactory, and if their stay had been comfortable. We thought this was a nice touch. Car park is small for the number of guests, but we got in ok without any problems. They take your vehicle reg number in case of any damage, or if it had to be moved. The meal was faultless in the evening, generous portions and very well cooked. The rooms are small, but cosy, everything worked, and we really enjoyed ourselves. Complimentary soap, shampoo and shower gel, and altogether a pleasant experience which we would be more than happy to repeat.

We have just returned from a two day break and unfortunately we were disappointed the service was poor and the rooms are dated car parking needs to be sorted as not enough spaces for the amount of cars booked in which when asked we were inormed use long stay car park over the bridge !!!
The breakfast was lovely and the meal on Tuesday was also very enjoyable but we didnt get told the kitchen was closed on a wednesday so we went out but be aware there are hardly any restaurants open on a Wednesday in this day and age I would have thought there would be
We would return for a meal but would never stay again and especially not on a Wednesday !

We visited this pub/restaurant/hotel while we were on a narrow boat holiday and we were very lucky to find such a wonderful place to eat. We ate in the bar because we had dogs with us. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful and very attentive. They brought out treats for the dogs and made us feel as welcome as it is possible to feel. The beer was good, the locals were friendly, the food was of the highest quality at a very reasonable price and the service was faultless. We genuinely could not have had a more positive experience and I would encourage anyone visiting the wonderful town of Llangollen to stop off at the Bridge End Hotel, they will not be disappointed.

We have stayed at the bridge end hotel on two occasions, the rooms are small but clean with a homely feel, the rooms at the front of the hotel offer a fantastic view and the staff will offer you these rooms if available. The Bar staff are friendly enough but couldn't say that they go over the top to make you feel welcome, however the pub in itself was cosy and nice to have a few drinks. On both occasions we have stayed they have been very accommodating to our drinking habits and even dusted off a bottle of tequila from the back of the shelf for our tequila chasers. Fantastic crisp and nut selection! On our second stay we ate in the hotel restaurant do not have the lamb shank unless you like chewing an old boot but the chicken goujons were tasty. We couldn't complain about the breakfast it was really good, fry up and a variety of yogurts and cereal. We would definitely recommend a stay here both experiences here have been pleasant ones and its reasonably priced too.

A busy pub that served up a good meal and breakfast. Staff were good and the room was a good size and clean, if a bit dated by todays standards. Car park is tiny and a bit of a pain to squeeze in and out of. It is directly opposite the steam railway which is great. Downside is breakfast on a Saturday didn't start until 9am which meant we couldn't get as early start as we would have wished for.

Room Tip: Ask for a room at the back as outside was very busy with people eating & drinking.

Stayed here with my husband a couple of weeks ago And i can honestly say it's one of the most friendly hotels I have stayed in. From the bar staff to cleaners to waitress staff, everyone couldn't do enough to help. The hotel itself, I wouldn't say is 5 star and is a little dated, but it was clean and that's the most important thing to me. We did get a front room which as its on a main road can be a little noisy from the drinkers outside, but after a good days walking in Llangollen it didn't put me off crashing to sleep. We also had a meal in the restaurant and the food was terrific. Overall if you are looking for a good friendly hotel with excellent food then I would recommend this hotel to anyone.
