We stayed at the Bridge End Inn and were fortunate enough to have a lovely room overlooking the river Dee. It was one of the cosiest rooms we have ever stayed in. The room was lovely decorated and imaculately clean. We arrived quite late and the lovely landlady served us a stack of sanwhiches - for free - because the kitchen was closed. The breakfast was great, and later we also ate dinner in the pub, which has specialised in typical Welch food, prima that also. The service made you think that you were someone's private guest.

At that price, the best we have ever stayed in in the UK.

My husband and myself stayed at the Bridge End Hotel for a weekend break, to celebrate our anniversary. The staff were great, the room was one of the cleanest hotel rooms that I've stayed in. Breakfast was superb and the staff were really friendly.
Couple of downsides - although the Hotel's website states there is parking, it is limited to about 6 cars. When we arrived, there were no spaces, so had to trawl around to look for a space. We did find a pay and display car park about 200 metres away which was £3.50 all day - great until you realise that you have to get up and 'feed' the meter at 8am. Not nice having to set your alarm for 7.30 when you're hoping for a well earned lie-in. I feel that it should be mentioned on the website. We did hear another couple having the same trouble. The only other downside was that the room we stayed in (room 6) was over the kitchen. This made it very noisy to be in your room at any time that the kitchen was serving food - basically all day and up to approx 9.30 at night - the extractor for the kitchen was approx 10 feet away from our window, and at window level, so it was a bit annoying having that roaring away, doors banging and staff shouting to each other.
Having said that, we did enjoy our stay. The hotel is centrally situated, right by the bridge over the river Dee, very picturesque if you're room faces that way I would imagine, not so picturesque from the rear!!

This was our second stay at the pub but not our last. The staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough to help The room was warm and comfortable with a nice view over the river. The full English/ Welsh breakfast, served in the dining room overlooking the river, was first rate and I would challenge anyone to leave feeling hungery. We would highly recommend a stay at the Bridge End.

The room was nicely furnished, the beds and the sheets were good.
The bathroom was roomy. The put some effort in the details, nice selection of soaps in the bathroom. The color of the chair matched the wallpaper. It felt there was great care in maintaining the rooms.
The room had a view over the river.
Breakfast was good. There is a pub downstairs, but we didn't have any problems with noise coming from downstairs.
