I stayed here with my children and found it clean, comfortable and great value for money. The bedrooms were comfortable, bathrooms modern and clean, kitchen was well equipped and the staff were really friendly. It was quiet at night and my children enjoyed the games room. We liked it so much after travelling further on, we stayed there again on our journey home. I would recommend it to anyone.

Room Tip: We stayed on both the top floor and then the ground floor when we returned. Both were quiet, I would...

We booked this for 15 guests for a weekend and took rooms 4 (6 beds, 1st floor), 5 (4 beds (one double!), 1st floor, ensuite) and 6 (6 beds, 2nd floor). The hostel is fantastic. The rooms are clean and spacious, the bathrooms modern, and the communal areas (lounge, dining room and kitchen) very well equipped. We used both the dining room and lounge in the daytime for some activities we had brought which worked really well.
Wouldn't hesitate to stay again and recommend it to friends/family. The price is extremely reasonable and it's within spitting distance of all Llangollen's pubs, cafes etc, And only a short drive to outdoor activity sites.
Thank you!

Room Tip: I would recommend Room 5 in particular as it had an ensuite bathroom, 2 sets of bunk beds with a dou...

Found this totally by accident when looking for somewhere to stay for the Steam Gala. What a gem!! Blows perceptions of hostels right out of the window!
Great hospitality throughout our stay and service which was second to none. Very clean and comfortable.
Will definitely be staying again!

Dear Beth and Arlo, sorry if it has taken so long to leave our review on our stay in your hostel in February. Carl and I would like to thank you for your great hospitality and high level of service. We would like to recommend your hostel to all those who are considering to spend some time in Llangollen, as the space offered us the opportunity to get to know a number of minded people. We found the hostel very clean, tidy and a very friendly environment to share with our kids. We loved cooking in the well equipped kitchen sharing food and wine with good company. The bedrooms (we had the option of 2 different rooms with en-suite) are really spacious, clean and we slept very well. We would highly recommend this hostel to any family with children as it offered us everything we needed for a short break away.

We were spoilt when we arrived, because the lady who booked us in gave us a choice of a double room upstairs, or on the ground floor....we chose the latter. This was with an en-suite. She was very friendly, and even introduced us to the other guests, some of whom had come over from California.

This hostel was a last minute choice, due to the fact that my sister-in-law was an Olympic Torch bearer (in Trevor - along the aquaduct). I was so glad i chose it, due to the fact that it was in a perfect location....backing onto the main Llangollen carpark. This parking is free as soon as the parking attendant has gone home (which is usually about 5pm), until he returns at 8am, so make sure you nip out and pay for the extra parking, if staying until 8-9.30am.

We were due to leave at 7am, so, luckily, due to the fact that it is self-serve for breakfast, we helped ourselves to jam on toast, cereal, tea, coffee and orange juice. You just have to make sure that washing up/ drying up is done before leaving. You are allowed to do cooking there too, in the more than, ample-sized kitchen. We didn't because we didn't really have the time.

It was perfect for us, because if we had stayed anywhere else, breakfast wouldn't have been served until around 8am, and we would've been late for the Olympic Torch!

So, if you don't mind going self-catering, at a hostel, then this is perfect.

Room Tip: The double room that we were in on the ground floor, has a 'wet room' suitable for elderly...

We stayed for 2 nights at the hostel. The first night was with a group of 4 other families and then the second night on our own. The hostel is very clean and with great shared facilities. A large kitchen (with free milk, butter, jam, tea, coffee!) and a large dining room and comfy lounge. The rooms are all clean and well kept. You can really see the owners take care of the property.

It worked great staying as part of a group so that we could all be together and share our meals and takeaway! When we on our own the second night it was very friendly atmosphere.

The free breakfasts were great - cereal, toast and juice.

It also has a great drying room downstairs for any wet gear and a storage room for kayaks and bikes.

The staff were all really friendly and helpful.

The rooms were fine - not huge - but the shower was great. We stayed in Room 1 which had a double and bunk beds and a v large wet shower room (kitted out for disabled). The shower was great!

Our only grumble woudl be the mattresses could have been a bit more comfy?

Location wise - very handy. There's a supermarket over the road open 7am-10pm every day and a car park at the back of the hostel.

Overall great!

Room Tip: Check what beds your room has in it. Room 1 is only room on ground floor so quiet from bedrooms but...
