Right in the town centre with plenty to see and do nearby. Friendly efficient staff. Clean and tidy. Basic breakfast but there is a supermarket within fifty yards. I will definitely recommend and will stay again. The only niggle is the traffic noise in the front rooms, otherwise I'm impressed.

We spent a week at Llangollen Hostel and couldn't fault it. It was spotlessly clean, and comfortable. A bit like staying in a very well kept home with really pleasant people. Great cooking facilities with masses of hot water and a drawer of clean tea towels! Bike store and drying room the icing on the cake. Recommended to us by Pro-adventure Outdoor Activity in Llangollen who are another brilliant provider - they make a great pair and we will certainly be back. Special thanks to Beth for the calendula seeds and for being so lovely : )

For a company organised weekend we took over the whole place Friday and Saturday night. Except for the lack of air conditioning and having a hot room 'in the roof', definitely the best hostel I have stayed at. Slap in the centre of the town, nice rooms, with en-suite bathrooms.
Big thumbs up.
Breakfast at the Buttered Crust across the car park is recommended and Fouzi'zx Italian restaurant, 5 mins away :)

Room Tip: Try to avoid a third floor room in the summer, you may find it a bit too warm!

30 of us rented the hostel to celebrate a 65th wedding anniversary. Everyone (aged 2 to 87) was comfortably accommodated and had a great time. We were made very welcome and soon felt at home. There was plenty for everyone to do from white water rafting to sedate cream teas and the shop opposite was a real bonus! Great value for money.

Room Tip: All rooms are fine but those at the back may be quieter.

Ten of us stayed here in three rooms. Great value for money with the added bonus of a drying room for our kit! Much needed after a day in the river.
Breakfast is basic but it is a hostel! Staff friendly and helpful.

I would recommend this to anyone, whether you would usually choose a hotel or hostel. Don't be put off by the 's'.

The door code comes via text so you can arrive any time. That was handy for us, as we got there in the middle of the night after a wedding.

We booked last minute so had a 5 person room for two. It was clean and pleasant, with a little loo/shower room in the corner. It would be even more amazing value for 5!

I have a lot of pain and should probably have left my man in the double and got into one of the single bunks in order to get a really good sleep. The bed was pretty comfortable, better than many hotels but a bit hard for me.

Checking out this morning was a pleasant experience, I wish we could stay longer to enjoy the welcoming atmosphere and also explore the beautiful area around Llangollen. The kitchen seemed nice.
