Amazing food, welcoming staff and a beautiful setting - what more could you want? This is Llangollen's newest, and already best, place to eat - a partner restaurant with rooms to Manorhaus Ruthin, one of the best restaurants in north Wales. A Victorian town house has been refurbished into a smooth and elegant boutique hotel - lounge bar with fabulous orange upholstery, a calm neutral tones dining room on three levels, and six rooms with wetrooms - and a bath in the bedroom! And the food? Sublime. I had pigeon breast to start, followed by monkfish and scallops skewered on rosemary with a sauce vierge - packed full of flavour and cooked to perfection. The lemon and pine kernel frozen mousse sweet was delicious, and coffee was accompanied by petit fours. Service is friendly and discreet. A visit here is an absolute must if you're in the area.
