“Excellent stay”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 March 2011

Right from the start John made you feel very welcome, with tea and home made cake.
The rooms were comfortable, but no TV.
Off road parking, but limited.
The B&B location is only yards from the town or railway so it makes it an ideal place to stay.

Stayed on a sunday night and had a lovely time. Very homely B&B and attentive service from John and Heather (tea and home made banana bread on arrival, yum!). Lovely room and great breakfast. Very difficult to fault this B&B will definitely stay again.

The victorian house is home from home with a very warm welcome (home made fairy cake & cup of tea on arrival) Excellent service. The bedroom was the smallest double room they had but had loads of character and was very comfy. Sneaked a peakl at the other rooms they looked amazing aswell. The location is simply the best as not right in centre so no noise and peacefull nights sleep. The 3 minute walk into town was very lesuirely as you need to walk over the bridge looking down onto the stunning river. I cant wait to go back again. If ur looking for a quick break for a few nights there is nowhere better

Looking for a relaxed friendly b&b then look no further! Stayed over Easter Bank Holiday and found this treasure of a house. Safe parking for the car, two minutes walk to the Steam Engine Train Station, horse drawn barges on the Canal, River and riverside park and the town centre. Perfect location. Hosts John and Heather will make you feel very welcome and trust me the hearty breakfast with locally sourced ingredients will keep you going thru the day. Llangollen is a beautifull town that ticks all the boxes for the tourist. A glass of wine on the riverside decking of the Old Mill resteurant/bar on a sunny late afternoon early evening with friends is as good as it gets folks! Drive up to the Horseshoe pass is a must. Plenty of walks too for the energetic.

5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 November 2008

We stayed at Glasgwm in Saturday 1st November. when we visited Llangollen to see family. John & Helen were actually away on holiday but had left the guest house in the very capable hands of Rosie & Mike

The Guest house is literally a couple of minutes walk from the centre of Llangollen making it the ideal location to stay as everything is within walking distance. The house has its own car park for guests which is a very big bonus as parking can be a bit of a nightmare in the town

We stayed in the Twin room as the kingsize double was already booked. We had a very spacious room with an on suite shower room. Our room had two lovely comfortable beds with extra bedding if needed but we were very cosey under the lovely warm duvets.

There was everything we needed in the room from tea and coffee making facilities right down to books, magazines and even board games. The rooms are very tastefully decorated with lovely old furniture which works very well with the age of the house. There was a TV and two arm chairs in the room making it very comfortable and homely

The guests have their own lounge which had a lovely open fire burning when we stayed. Off the lounge is the guests dining room were we ate breakfast on Sunday morning. On offer was cereals, fresh fruit , fruit juice and yoghurts then we were served with a delicious full cooked breakfast of bacon, sausage, egg, hash brown, mushrooms and tomato's. A basket of brown and white toast and a very large pot of tea. We didnt need to eat again until the evening

I would definately recommend this Guest house to anyone and cant wait to stay there again on our next visit to Llangollen. Look out for their lovely cat Pembles, he has to be the oldest cat in Wales at over 25 years old. He seems quite happy to have people over to stay in his house
