“beautiful place”
Reviewed 15 May 2017 for a stay in May 2017

Had a lovely stay, and the bottle of wine on arrival was a nice touch, the cottage is great as is its situation. we took my elderly in-laws for a short break, and the house suited us well. it was a quick journey into Llangollen and we also enjoyed trips to Chirk Castle and Errdig. A trip on the steam train was also enjoyable.
my only criticism would be that the crockery in the cottage needs to be replaced as most of it is chipped. Also could have done with more glasses as only 3 wine glasses and one of them was chipped!
All in all a good place to stay in a beautiful area, thank you.

Thanks for the review Stephen, we're really pleased you had such a lovely holiday.
We noticed that some of the crockery is chipped and it's been replaced. There were originally eight wine glasses so we can only assume that the others have been chipped too and thrown away. We've replaced the missing ones with nice quality plastic wine glasses which should hopefully solve the problem! Thanks again for letting us know.

“Amazing cottage ”
Reviewed 22 February 2017 for a stay in February 2017

We stayed for 3 nights in this wonderful cottage. It has a massive kitchen and dining area downstairs with one bedroom and big on suit.
Upstairs is a living room and 2 more bedrooms, all on suit.
Stayed with my partner and 3 children and had a brilliant time.
Lovely views and plenty of good walking areas.

“Great location”
Reviewed 27 January 2017 for a stay in December 2016

A great place to stay close to one of the prettiest towns I've ever seen. We had everything required for the stay... There was a handy pub just a stones throw from the accommodation which was a bonus. Jasmine cottage is in a fantastic spot for exploring the area on foot. I guess the only negative I have about the house is that it's noisy- not outside noise. You can hear every movement that anyone else in the house makes. Other than that...I loved it.

We're really pleased you enjoyed Christmas at Jasmine Cottage. If you enjoyed the countryside in December you should try and visit in Summer the next time you're in the UK!
We're sorry to hear that you found the cottage noisy, I suppose that's the downside of solid oak staircases and wood block flooring. When Jasmine Cottage was built we installed sound reducing underlay beneath the flooring but it obviously doesn't quite work well enough, especially when six or seven people are staying. Thanks for bringing this to our attention, Ian & Yvonne.

“Great cottage for 2 couples”
Reviewed 10 August 2016 for a stay in August 2016

This is a beautiful well-equipped cottage with en-suite bedrooms on 2 floors providing a good layout for 2 couples to share. The location is lovely on the side of the valley with Velvet hill above and a view to Eliseg's Pillar with a pub and small campsite in-between (both were quiet during our stay) across the valley. Its a few minutes drive into Llangollen, or to the Horseshoe Fall beauty spot, or the great views from the Horseshoe Pass.
