Stayed here over the New year with my wife and 3 year old daughter. Nothing was too much trouble and the staff were all incredibly helpful and welcoming. The rooms are spacious, immaculately clean, and warm. The beds are comfortable, the food is piping hot, fresh, very tasty and great value for money. The beer is terrific and you can taste why the pub was voted as having the best kept cellar in wales.

Oh and on top of this the location is just stunning.

You'll struggle to find a better overall package.

The Brittania was a lucky choice. Found on the www.llangollen.org website as we were looking for a base in the area during the spectacular winter months in this part of the world. We were luck with blue skys and the landscape covered in snow. The Brittania itself is a large pleasant pub and restaurant, with very friendly and polite staff serving good food. We stayed in a good sized room at the back of the hotel (so not the best views) but everything was clean and comfortable and there was good water pressure in the shower !! We enjoyed a good long walk up on the surrounding hills during the day (in the snow) and a hot meal in the evening. A great time ! Strongly recommend this Hotel/pub/restaurant !!

We stopped for dinner at the Britannia and certainly would have stayed the night had we not already booked with a guest house in Llangollen. We always enjoy places with history and character, and the Britannia had lots of both. The staff was marvelous and the food was delicious and cooked to perfection. We hope to return to Wales very soon and definitely look forward to returning to the Britannia.

Stayed 2 nights DB&B. Room cosy and comfortable. Excellent food served by friendly and attentive staff. Good walks in surrounding area. Llangollen only 5mins away by car. Hospitality second to none. Will definitely stay again.
