Despite poor feedback of Holyhead I was pleasantly surprised of the area.
The owner was friendly and advised me to hire a bike and explore Holy Island. The coastline has to be one of the most stunning in UK. Cliffs and beaches. The country park is also a lovely too .
Wavecrest caters mainly for Ferry customers I was here for a racing event which Prince William attended. Met some lovely people from different parts of the World. I had use of a fridge and garage to leave my kit and bike etc.
The breakfast was just the protein I required for my day ahead.
I will be back and thanks for looking after me!

Room Tip: Nice walk to Malas bistro at the Yacht club!

The bonus was the owner Karl who went out of his way to show local places. Drove me to South Stack and lovely local beaches. Sorry my Welsh is poor therefore will not even attempt the name of them. Breakfast was good and room was cozy. The various display on walls was interesting. Pop and railway items. Lovely water clolours too. Really good for a break before Ferry.

Room Tip: Book direct it is cheaper than online

The positive points of my stay included the cheerful and friendly owner who was always willing to lend a hand. There was good off street parking in a quiet area and it was close to local amenities such as the ferry port and town. However the owner had a unique, acquired and interesting take on how the decorate his establishment. The varying garish train and parking signs in the entrance hall were overpowering and the general make do and mend feel throughout gave me, the feeling that everything had been done on the cheap. Breakfast was adequate but cold. I wouldn’t recommend this establishment- the photographs on the website don't reflect its nature and the tariff was too high for the facilities and type of accommodation provided.

Stayed here for a couple days whilst I looked for rented apartment in area. The owner really looked after me and gave me great tips about the town. The breakfast was yummy and big.
He even gave me discount for my troubles. Helped me unload and load all my bags and cases from the car.
Rooms were cozy and clean and above all, quite!
makes a great effort to make sure guests are happy.

This B&B is very well situated in Holyhead: in a quiet, parking-friendly street near everything you need and the ferry terminal.

But I would only book another night in this B&B if I had no alternatives.

We were wellcomed by a note on the door saying " call number xxx". On the phone we were told to look for the key under a flower pot. Once in, we found a very small an not so clean room. (if you drill a hole please clean up the dust). All equipment was not only "old" but also totally worn out.

I was particularly disappointed by the breakfast. These B&B survive only by the ferry passengers. But leaving on the 8h30 ferry we could not get any breakfast until 7h30. And do you call 1 (yes ONE) toast with preserve breakfast?

This place gives B&B's a reputation.

Check in time is from 3 pm like most establishments. I have no objection for guests checking in earlier with prior notice. We will either cater for their arrival or leave key out for them. It is only posssible to have some free time for shopping etc between 1 pm and 3 pm.
Conditions on check in time ( 3 pm)were made known to the Guests when they completed the online booking. They arrived before 2 pm whilst my deputy was having lunch at her home.
I was away for the weekend

The bathroom has recently been renewed. On close examination,a few particles of drill dust were found at the back of a skirting board in the far bottom corner of bathroom.which is hidden from view. The Guests must have examined every nook and cranny for any dust!

As for early breakfast,we cater for the Ferry which leave just before 9 am.We offer a lighter breakfast such as eggs of own choice, bacon sandwich and unlimited toast! When you walk in the dining area there is a big choice of cereals on offer,a fridge with juice and yogurts and fresh fruit..There is little demand for a large cooked breakfast at an early time. This is the first ever complaint I have received of being mean for breakfast!
As we are often up until after 1 am awating later Ferry arrivals,we need some sleep hence breakfast before 7-0 am is self select.
