We stayed here for two nights in July, it was a lovely place to stay. The positives, your a two minute walk from the town, and for my husband who is a steam train enthusiast, a 5 minute walk from the train station. You can get a quick journey on the steam train up the track and back. A few negatives, well very slight negatives, they allow people keep they're dogs in the hotel, which I don't love, but is understandable when you hear about the story of bedlegert.. :-) but despite the fact people have their dogs stay there, the place was spotless and other than actually hearing the odd bark at night, you would barely notice the dogs there.. The room was lovely, high ceilings, spacious rooms, very clean. And quieter than you might think, especially as it's next to the road. The food in my opinion was just ok.. Not a great variety. The staff were all lovely and very welcoming. We would definitely stay here again..
