“Perfect stay”

Wow! What a great stay! Simon made us feel very welcome and didn't even mind letting us in after midnight after another guest had put the latch down which stopped our key from letting us in! Great accommodation, lovely dining room and delicious breakfast. Looking forward to our next stop! Darren, Malvern

We love Betws y Coed but this was our first stay here on what would have been our wedding night, if we hadn't postponed due to illness. We booked room 6 for 2 nights £70 per night bed only.
When we booked we chose to pay on arrival/departure but had to enter credit card details to secure. We then found that one of the nights was then charged to our credit card with a 2% booking fee (informed by email but didn't read before had chance to do anything about it). Both days we had to pay £4 parking and Breakfast wasn't included so by the time we paid for this worked out quite expensive.
The welcome when we got there wasn't great, we didn't feel very welcome and were basically just passed key and told where room was. As we didn't partake in breakfast the place felt very impersonal after initial lack of a welcome. There was just something missing that prevented us feeling that homely feeling.
I know Betws Y Coed can demand higher prices but place didn't quite warrant the £75 a night average, after parking booking charge etc.
Room lovely, nice furnishings, bed, clean etc but just something lacking and a shame view spoiled by absolutely filthy windows.

Stayed here for a much needed long weekend getaway with my husband and his parents. Received an email from Simon almost instantly after making the booking telling us the best places to eat, park etc. A warm and friendly welcome on arrival got the holiday off to a great start and we felt at home straight away. Our room was on the top floor looking out over the river and it was very clean and comfortable, with everything in there being of high quality. Breakfast was fantastic, with a choice of six different cooked options - asking guests to choose the night before, (or by 7am that day at least), was a great idea, as you were given plenty of time to enjoy the fresh fruit salad, home made yoghurt, and cereals on offer while it was being cooked. Have stayed in the area many times, usually self catering, but this was our first time staying at Fairhaven. After such a wonderful stay there would definitely recommend it to others and will no doubt be staying there again ourselves before too long.

Simon and Sharon are great hosts, nothing is too much trouble, breakfast is excellent and the rooms are first class. They gave us their personal parking space by the side of the Bed and Breakfast. We always stay on route to Ireland.

We stayed for 2 nights in Room 10. Huge big bed, extremely comfortable and everything was very clean. The owner showed us around when we arrived but otherwise we were left on our own which is exactly how we wanted it. Tea and coffee making facilities are provided for. Wifi is also available. Breakfast was lovely. Couldn't fault anything with our stay and thoroughly enjoyed it. Thank you.

A friend and I had come to climb in the Snowdonia range for a few days and needed a place that provided a good nights sleep and breakfast. Simon & Sharon at the Fairhaven faultlessly delivered on both...and more. The room was very clean and had everything we needed including the all important hot shower at the end of a full on day of walking. The breakfasts were out of this world with a great choice of 6 different hot food options for an additional fiver - a steal in our view. Simon was also kind enough to fill up our flasks with fresh coffee and hot water each day before we hit the hills. For me, the best thing about the whole experience was the feeling of a home from home as after we'd been shown our room, and given the low down on the B&B and local area, we were left to it with no fuss. Would recommend without hesitation. Thanks guys ;)
