Don't know where to start. Eileen was wonderful. (We imagine John must be as well but, while we didn't encounter him, we did benefit greatly from the best breakfast of our 8-day driving tour through the Scottish Highlands, the Lake District, and Wales. Do NOT miss the scrambled eggs and salmon... Coffee was also the best!) The bedroom was delightful. We also stayed in the Elm room and found the bathroom no smaller than many other b&b's in the UK but far better equipped. (With a 6'4" husband, I do wish that bigger beds were more the norm than they appear to be...but we managed.). The location is heavenly! When we were waiting for check-in time, we sat overlooking the hillside sheep pasture pictured on the website. Positively bucolic and so sweet to wake up to the bleats in the morning (not traffic on a main road, as we'd been subjected to earlier in the week...). Gardens are beautiful. Walk into town through the wood is beautiful..walk back up the road after dinner at one of the wonderful restaurants in the town was the best after-dinner amble! We want to spend weeks here.... Also, Eileen's guidance sent us through Snowdonia on a most wonderful final drive through Wales. We were thoroughly enchanted and entirely grateful!

Sorry you didn't get to meet John. He spends lots of time in the kitchen ensuring his breakfasts are the best. Sourced locally and bought daily he really takes a pride in his cooking. Most reviewers comment to this effect and he was delighted to hear you voted his skills the best from all the B&B's you visited. Thank you so much for your wonderful review - it put a spring in our step all day, kind regards and every best wish to you both.

We spent a wonderful two nights here to celebrate our wedding anniversary. I had mentioned it was our anniversary when booking - purely as a reason why we were coming at that specific time. Lo and behold! We were really touched to find an anniversary card waiting for us in our room. This is just the sort of touch that makes the experience personal and special and will live on in our memories. The whole anmbience is wonderful, from the view outside, the room we had and the amazing breakfasts. Also Eileen's friendliness is much appreciated. This B&B should be rated Number 1 in Betws -y- Coed. The only problem with that though... it could be fully booked next time we come! :-)
A big thank you again!

We stayed 4 nights at Tan Dinas Country House and it was just magnificent. Our room (Elm) was nicely decorated, very comfy (a small minus was the bathroom, fully equipped, but a bit small). Breakfast is a feast; Eileen spoils her guests while John is preparing cooked breakfasts.
A good starting point for exploring Snowdonia.
Highly recommended.

Room Tip: Room "Elm" has excellent view!

Warm welcome from lovely hosts. Location was fantastic, nicely tucked out of the way but still within 5 minutes walk of main village high street. Breakfast was excellent with a great view of the bird feeders and garden. Room was very comfortable and the wife liked the fountain outside our room window. Highly recommended. Thank you for a lovely stay, we didn't want to leave will come again.

Can't find a bad word to say about Tan Dinas. Location was fab only a 5 mins walk to the village centre which itself is lovely, nice shops, pubs and would highly recommend the bistro to eat at. Our room was again lovely, nice and quiet, very clean and the bed was very comfy. Eileen was so helpful with info on the local area and climbing Snowdon as it was our first time doing so. Also brekkie made by John was just what we needed! Highly recommend - we are already planning our next trip!

It was so nice that you chose to spend your first anniversary with us and climb Snowdon to mark the occasion. It was a pleasure to help you enjoy both. Betws-y-Coed is so fortunate to have many restaurants in which to eat great food, good shops which sell unique goods and an excellent range of kit to help you get up the mountains safely. Thank you for your review - hope to see you to celebrate your second anniversary.

Had just a 1 night stay at Tan Dinas following a walk up Snowdon. A great house looking across the valley in Betws. The host was lovely, nothing was too much trouble and was great at advising where to eat on the bank holiday weekend. Fantastic breakfast, exceptional quality. Highly recommend.
