“Wonderful place to stay!”
Reviewed 9 July 2010

My husband and I spent two nights at Tan Dinas in Betws-y-Coed. Our host, Eileen, immediately made us feel at home. She is a very warm and personable. Our room was very comfortable, our breakfast was great. Eileen took the time to help us plan our day exploring Snowdonia to get in as many sites as possible with our short time there. Betws-y-Coed is a very beautiful village and we can't wait to go back. We highly recommend Tan Dinas as the place to stay in Snowdonia.

This is our third stay at Tan Dinas and can't wait to go again.
If you like peace and quiet this is the ideal location with car parking facilities, beautiful views, lovely garden and a huge variety of birds to watch.
The house is in an out of the way location with many beautiful walks on the doorstep.
We have stayed in a different room each time and all have been beautifully decorated and furnished to a high standard and spotlessley clean, not to mention the breakfast which is excellent.
Finally I must mention the hospitality which is second to none - friendly and helpful you will be made to feel very special.

Wonderful place, very good location! Eileen and John make us feel very comfortable and help of Eileen in our walk planning was worthless. Food, clearness - everything was much more than satisfying. Already dream about come back. Thank you!

This is the second time we have stayed at Tan Dinas, we don't live very far away but the mountains of Snowdonia are such a contrast to city living. As soon as we arrived and took in the view rest and relaxation kicked in. We enjoyed a lovely two nights stay, again we were met with such warm hospitality, our room was beautifully clean and very comfortable, we made good use of the fridge as the weather was very hot and certainly for us John's smoked salmon and scrambled egg is the best we have ever tasted. Betws-y-Coed at the weekend is a busy village always something going on. We have booked again for August to go and listen to a local Male Voice Choir in the Parish Church, a meal at the Welsh Bistro and another stay with Eileen and John - perfect.

Wish we'd stayed here at the end of our tour around the UK rather than the beginning: it showed us how it should be done. Charming place with a great location. Really good attention to detail: guest weren't just potential toilet blockers.

Great room with a great breakfast. Criticisms: (I only trust tripadvisor reviews with something critical) I'd personally lose the breakfast room musak, but that's just my taste.

Came with spouse from US and joined by son working in London. Looking for central location in Northern Wales, relaxation, hiking, good food, interesting people and helpful hosts. Found all and more with Eileen and John at Tan Dinas. Easy walk to town. Breakfasts to die for. Great helpful hints from Eileen. Can't wait to return to enjoy these great folks again.

Stayed here for a walking weekend with brothers. Superb B & B with excellent hosts John & Eileen for whom nothing was too much trouble. Numerous walks from the doorstep & the car never left the car park ! Very enjoyable sitting outside, as dusk fell, with a glass of wine or beer chatting to other guests.
Highly recommended & we hope to return
