Had a bit of luck trying this place, doesn't look much from the road.

Absolutely stunning it was. First class food, adequate selection of wine an top notch service.

Friendly and unpretentious food, perfect to warm you up after a long day out walking etc.

Highly recommended.

My husband and I spent 3 nights in Betws y Coed last week and dined in the Bistro each evening, as we have done in the past. All the meals we had, all different were excellent - lovely flavours, just the right amount of food and the wine was good and reasonably priced. We have eaten here for the last 4/5 years and always return for the food, lovely, friendly staff and relaxing ambiance. In our opinion this is the best restaurant in the village and we've tried most of the rest of compatible standard. Would recommend the Bistro fo family, friends, and indeed strangers, without hesitation. Looking forward to a return truip later in the summer.

We were drawn into the Bistro for lunch by the menu, and the food did not disappoint. I had the warm duck, bacon and new potato salad which was delicious and a generous portion. The service was very good and very friendly and I thought the menu was very reasonably priced. The only criticism was the appalling CD playing throughout lunch. We were told it was "traditional" Welsh music, but traditionally, we Welsh can actually sing in tune! The droning folk laments from the male singer had us ready to open a vein, and the female singer was the vocal equivalent of Les Dawson's piano playing. We were laughing so hard we could barely eat our food. It really did take away from the friendly relaxed ambience of the restaurant. Definitely worth a visit for the food, but take some ear plugs!

My family and I had dinner at the Bistro last Saturday. There were ten of us and we were all made to feel very welcome and, even though the place was busy, the service was exceptional. Checked on whether we were happy/satisfied with everything and always with a smile. High quality food, with a lovely varied choice and the wines too all providing great value for money.

Popped in here for elevenses as not impressed with ambiance of first cafe we found after parking car and we were very happy that we did. I had the bara brith and a coffee and it was delicious. The waitress was really really friendly and informative and helpful. Across the road is a pretty stream. Arrived in town via scenic route from Abergele which was stunning and left via Conwy also a pretty drive.
