“Amazing!”
Reviewed 10 June 2014

We have stayed with Marie and Said lots of times before and have never had anything but a great stay, we don't feel like guests we feel like friends coming to stay. Amazing house with the most wonderful garden well equipped with things even for our 15 yr old son to do! We have stayed in other places but we always say its not Glenwood, we love rooms 4&5 as they can be had as a family set up which for us is great, always spotless, but I would happily stay in any room! The warm welcome you receive when you arrive is lovely after a long drive, we had tea juice and welsh cakes in the rear garden in the sunshine and a chat to catch up, Marie and Saids boys are so lovely, my son had great fun playing ball! We have seen the garden in most seasons and Said should be very proud right now, its truly stunning - We will of course be back - after a really tough week staying here really made the difference - thanks again Marie, Said & Boys, see you soon xxx Collins family xxx

Room Tip: We would happily stay in any room, but the family room is great, so spacious - rooms 4&5 work ve...

We have stayed at several places in Betws-y-Coed and enjoy trying new places. Glenwood House is the best Guest House we have stayed in so far. The house and rooms are well equipped and comfortable. The grounds and parking are generous and the house is set in large gardens.
When we arrived, Siad soon made us feel at home. He was available for local knowledge and keen to ensure our stay was relaxed and enjoyable. It was nice to meet other members of the family and share ideas of places to go and things to do.
Breakfast is not to be missed. Plenty to choose from and cooked to perfection.
We plan to return next year.

Room Tip: The walk into the villiage is only 10 minutes and means you are aways from the traffic and crowds at...

Recently stayed for two nights over a weekend. Marie and siad were very accommodating, relaxed and could not do enough for you. Could not fault the stay or the people. Excellent advice from Marie's dad on climbing snowden and where to park. 15 mins drive to climb the mountain was great. 10 min walk into the village to eat and drink and a lovely walk along the riverside at night was lovely. Marie made up packed lunches and flask for the mountain at a reasonable price. We thought it was excellent value for money and probably one of the quietest B&B we have stayed.. The breakfast was good with a good choice including smoked salmon my favourite. We had an excellent view from our room of the hillside making it extra special. We will definitely be back. Highly recommended.

Room Tip: Room no 2 has a lovely view.

As I wrote in june 2011.

Glenwood Guest House is probably the best in the neighborhood.
I've been there for the third time and again felt the hospitality of Mary, Siad and Fred.
The rooms are well equipped and very clean. The breakfast is plentiful and very good.
The Guest House is within walking distance to the village and a very good point to start your day trips.
I definitely would recommend Glenwood Guest House to friends (and you).
Marie, Said and Fred thank you very much for your hospitality!

From the moment we arrived this was fantastic. Said and Marie are great hosts. The room was brilliant. The breakfast was great. Perfect location for exploring the town and only a short drive to Snowdon.
Four star guest house but five star experience.

Just arrived home from staying at this superb Guest house. We had a warm welcome from Marie who showed us around and provided much welcomed Coffee and cakes. It would be hard to fault the professionalism and high level of service we were given by Marie and Said, her Husband. Nothing was too much trouble and the Breakfasts were excellent. The rooms were spotless and very comfortable and the setting was idyllic. We were sorry to leave but will reurn in the future.

Cannot recommend this Guest House highly enough. In fact I am reluctant to say how good it was in case I cannot get a further booking as it is too popular.
Very warm welcome from Said and Marie, nothing too much trouble. Room very good with wonderful view, freshly decorated, as it is every year apparently.
Excellent breakfast, warm and friendly atmosphere. Easy walking distance to village.
Will definitely visit again. Our friends agreed.

Room Tip: We had rooms 1 & 3, but would imagine all rooms equally impressive.
