My partner & I stayed for a couple of nights for a quick break, it is a lovely B&B, very clean and with lovely hosts. They are always willing to give you the benefit of their local knowledge from attractions to places to eat and Betws Y Coed is an ideal base for exploring the local area, with the village itself being in a beautiful location. We would definitely stay there again

Stayed for a weekend during the walking festival. A good breakfast to keep me going all day, with the packed luncb provided - and a friendly welcome on return: warm and cozy and a lounge with comfortable chairs and lots of books :-)

We stayed at Mairlys for a weekend of walking and it was heaven! A comfy bed, a hot shower and a scrumptious breakfast - all made the more delightful by the warm, friendly welcome of Marion and Bernard.
The house is attractively furnished throughout with a lovely sitting room full of books, an ideal place to laze after a day in the hills. Once relaxed it is only a short walk to the bars and restaurants of Betws-y-Coed.
Mairlys makes an excellent base for exploring Snowdonia and we shall defiitely be back.
P.S. The packed lunches are excellent as well.

A very relaxing stay in a lovely, friendly B&B.
Our room was pretty and very comfortable.... with a lovely view of the forest. The breakfasts were lovely and set us up for a day's walking or mountain biking. The B&B is in a great location, just 10 minutes from some good places to eat and have a drink (The Bistro on the main road in Betwys Coed is especially worth a meal-but book ahead). Also a fabulous place to stay if you are interested in the outdoors and exploring the local area, as the owners love walking and are a great source of info.
Will definately stay there when we return for another break.

Mairlys is a pleasant, traditional B&B located within easy walking distance of the train station. The owners are helpful, attentive, and very knowledgeable of activities in the area. The rooms are comfortable. The breakfasts are filling with a special treat of home-made preserves.

Mairlys is a charming B&B with a lovely decor and beautiful views. The room was clean and quiet, and we particularly enjoyed the light-filled sitting room for tea and reading. The breakfasts were terrific with fruit and homemade jams. Bernard and Marian greeted us warmly, offered tea and helpful advice and took our laundry for overnight service. When a shirt was overlooked, they even mailed it to our home! They were wonderful and knowledgeable hosts. We wished we could have stayed longer.
