“Conwy Falls a Short Walk from Bryn Bella”
Reviewed 24 June 2009

We were staying at Bryn Bella Guest House in Betws-y-Coed and wanted a local walk from the house to a point of interest. Mark the owner at Bryn Bella suggested a walk which took in the Fairy Glen, Conwy Falls and the Machno falls. It was a delightful walk though woods and leafy glens to the Conwy Falls cafe where we stopped for lunch. As recommended we tried the stone baked pizzas and were not disappointed all washed down with home made lemonade. To die for.

The falls are quite impressive for the local area, not a Niagara or Victoria Falls experience but impressive none the less and very photogenic. The walk was ideal being fairly easy going and in shade most of the time.

Certainly worth the effort from a great place to saty to a great place to eat what more could you ask for.

“Brilliant Location Fantastic Food”
Reviewed 11 June 2009

Conwy Falls lay just outside Betws-y-Coed on the river Conwy. Most visitors to Betws-y-Coed know and visit Swallow falls but they miss out on the lesser know but equally spectacular Conwy Falls. Set in woodland just a short walk from Betws-y-Coed these waterfalls are spectacular in their own right, with light and shade changing by the minute they have a mystical quality that is in keeping with the area. The added value is that once you have paid your entry fee, free if you eat at the Cafe, you are free to explore the surrounding woodland and all that it has to offer. The icing on the cake is the excellent Conwy Falls Cafe at the entrance. With its large car park and outside seating area it would be criminal not to take advantage of the speciality free trade Teas and Coffees available. With most of the cakes prepared fresh daily on the premises and the aromas that emanate from the kitchen this is more than a simple cafe. We went one Saturday evening when we were hungry enough to enjoy a freshly home made stone baked pizza made to the exact ingredients we chose. It was to die for. But don't take our word take a visit there yourself. With its large car park and the fact that it is adjacent to the A5 on the way to and from Betws-y-Coed it makes the ideal place to stop off.
