“Very friendly place to stay”
Reviewed 25 September 2013

I only stayed one night at this B&B however I enjoyed every minute of it. Ruth was very welcoming and friendly as well as Ebony (Labrador). The place was very clean and looked after. I really enjoyed Ruth prepared breakfast which felt like being at home. I would definitely come back again. Thanks to lovely hosts.

We stayed here for one night recently after an attempt to hike up Snowdon in heavy rain. The house is located on the edge of a main street, close to shops and restaurants, and has private parking. Ruth, the owner, and Ebony the dog, greet you on arrival. We stayed in a lovely room, with beautiful antique furniture. The ensuite had a great shower and the rest of the room was spacious and welcoming. The room had views of the river.

The breakfast in the morning was great, and if you have any questions Ruth is very helpful and knowledgeable about the area.

I would definitely stay here again and would recommend it.

Room Tip: Room 3 was lovely

Thanks to Ruth and dog Ebony for a wonderful stay at your welcoming home. We had an ensuite room where our dog was made very welcome too. Lovely view of the river and a short walk into gorgeous Betws Y Coed. There was off road parking and a garden for our dog Pip. The rooms were very spacious and clean, with Wifi. The breakfast was just fantastic with endless tea and orange juice and home made jam, if you could fit it in after the full english. Would definitely return to this B&B

I can honestly say that I have never stayed anywhere more welcoming than Dolgethin. The concern and help they gave complete strangers at a time when we needed it most was amazing.
Plus they accept dogs which meant Hudson could stay. The rooms are clean and cosy, just what you need after a good days walk. Well worth every penny :)
We are looking forward to a return visit once Mach is better, that's if Ruth will put up with us again!Thank you, Christine, Andrea & Hudson

I have stayed here many times and Ruth who owns it is a lovely landlady. The rooms are very comfortable and in a lovely old fashioned style. Great food and Ruth is very friendly and helpful.

I've stayed at countless B&Bs around the country over the years and I'd count this as on of my top ones. Very highly recommended.

Room Tip: Room 4 has got one of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept in.

We had a lovely stay here with our dog Jake. Ruth is a lovely lady who made us all very welcome including Jake. The house is very traditional and comfortable and was kept very clean. We stayed in the lilac room and the bed was very comfortable. We will definitely stay again and would recommend anyone to stay at this warm and welcoming place. I do not normally do reviews but felt on this occasion it derserved one.

This year we stayed twice at the Dolgethin Guest House - in July and in September. The rooms are cosy, nicely furnished and clean. Not to mention the breakfast. Homemade jams. Lovely... Ruth, the landlady, is not just very friendly. She is a pet lover. (If you have 2 dogs as we have, this is very important.) No doubt: We will come back.
