““Great location, dog friendly and welcoming hostess””
Reviewed 25 February 2014

Just returned from our latest trip to Snowdonia, but this time we wanted to take our dog Kay, We searched for accomadation that would take her and found Dolgethin, and we are so glad we did! We were welcomed by Ruth and her lovely dog Ebony, over the four nights we stayed Ruth was a mind of local information and could not do enough for us, lovely rooms comfortable, fantastic breakfasts in great location on the fringe of Betws y coed with easy access to the local shops, pubs, and everything else Betws y coed has to offer. It is a first class location for visiting all parts of Snowdonia. Also Ruth has a safe off road car park,
Our dog Kay was made to feel as welcome as we were, and soon made herself at home!!
Dolgethin is a lovely place to stay and we are all looking forward to another visit later in the year
Thanks agian Ruth for a wonderfull stay !!!!

We have stayed with Ruth countless times over the years when climbing in Snowdonia & have never even considered staying anywhere else. Ruth works hard to ensure that the welcome her guests receive is second to none. Dolgethin is a perfect base to get out into the Mountains - and then come back to a lovely clean & welcoming B&B.
As a dog friendly B&B with a small private car park Dolgethin ticks al the boxes.

Lovely house, nice fresh milk for tea and coffee, lovely clean and fresh bedding, pretty rooms and tasty homemade breakfast. Car parking space, and close to the small town which is lovely, dogs welcome which is a plus, and a place to leave wet clothes. A great place to stay for families or if one your own and just want to walk and explore the area.

Room Tip: We have stayed before and think all the rooms are good, you can't go wrong

I only stayed one night at this B&B however I enjoyed every minute of it. Ruth was very welcoming and friendly as well as Ebony (Labrador). The place was very clean and looked after. I really enjoyed Ruth prepared breakfast which felt like being at home. I would definitely come back again. Thanks to lovely hosts.

We stayed here for one night recently after an attempt to hike up Snowdon in heavy rain. The house is located on the edge of a main street, close to shops and restaurants, and has private parking. Ruth, the owner, and Ebony the dog, greet you on arrival. We stayed in a lovely room, with beautiful antique furniture. The ensuite had a great shower and the rest of the room was spacious and welcoming. The room had views of the river.

The breakfast in the morning was great, and if you have any questions Ruth is very helpful and knowledgeable about the area.

I would definitely stay here again and would recommend it.

Room Tip: Room 3 was lovely

Thanks to Ruth and dog Ebony for a wonderful stay at your welcoming home. We had an ensuite room where our dog was made very welcome too. Lovely view of the river and a short walk into gorgeous Betws Y Coed. There was off road parking and a garden for our dog Pip. The rooms were very spacious and clean, with Wifi. The breakfast was just fantastic with endless tea and orange juice and home made jam, if you could fit it in after the full english. Would definitely return to this B&B
