“Delightful cottage in pretty village.”
Reviewed 9 June 2013 for a stay in May 2013

We had a lovely week with our family in this delightful cottage. The property was very comfortable ,with a log burner in the lounge which was very welcome when the evenings got cold! The property was very well maintained and furnished to high standards. It was lovely to sit on the patio in the morning to eat breakfast and to admire the views of the mountains, and also within easy reach of the local shop.A great location!

“Fantastic cottage in a fantastic location.”
Reviewed 26 May 2013 for a stay in May 2013

We have just returned from our fifth visit to this beautiful cottage. Helen, Ian and Amelia are fantastic hosts. This is the ideal place to escape from a busy lifestyle better than any spa. On arrival the cottage is spotless everything you need really home from home. This time on arrival Helen had left beautiful homemade cake and a tea tray ready and also a beautiful bunch of flowers. We are already sorting dates to book for next year. The surrounding location is stunning ideally situated for Snowdonia. Many thanks to Helen and her family we will be back next year.

“Another fantastic visit”
Reviewed 6 May 2013 for a stay in April 2013

This cottage is perfect with everything you could want including the all important log burner for those chilly nights.

Helen the owner is lovely and always on hand if needed to help. The cottage has so much character and the little church opposite and the mountain view set the scene for a great break.

The cottage speaks for itself and is always booked well in advance so if you see a time you want dont hesitate as it will be booked in a blink of an eye.

“Lovely cottage with good facilities in ideal location”
Reviewed 28 April 2013 for a stay in April 2013

This is a lovely cottage with good facilities and it is ideally located for easy access to Snowdonia and the surrounding area. It is in a quiet off street position with convenient walking access to shop and pubs.
The owners are very helpful and will attend to any special requirements you may have. The cottage itself is spacious with a nice outdoor decked area and garden.
We found that the roads in the area were good providing easy access to visitor attractions in all directions. There is lots to do in this area and we will certainly return to this cottage in future.

“Great place to stay, everything you need for a break and welcolming”
Reviewed 13 November 2012 for a stay in October 2012

The cottage laid back off a quite road and was in a lovely setting with the view of hills surrounding us. On our first day we sat in the garden and had our tea and coffee to get our holiday off to a good start. The cottage was lovely and very clean, with two good sized bedrooms with on suites. The living area was spacious with a good sized kitchen/diner.
We were a party of two couples and had plenty of our own space if we needed it.

There were plenty of local walks from the doorstep with local amenities. The local people were friendly especially Helen and family who made us feel very welcome.

Everything about this cottage and area was brilliant, there is no least about it and we will be returning in the future.

“A lovely, homely cottage”
Reviewed 4 November 2012 for a stay in August 2012

We stayed here with our three young children in August. It was the perfect place to stay, a very well appointed cottage, lovely decor throughout. We loved the decking at the back of the house, especially when the sun was shining - which it did for at least some of the time! Its perfectly situated to visit the surrounding area and the village shop was very well stocked. We will definitely return.

“Cozy Cottage in an Ideal Location”
Reviewed 15 October 2012 for a stay in September 2012

On this occasion I was traveling with my husband, my brother-in-law, and his partner. We all enjoyed our stay at Y Neaudd Lwyd. Due to working schedules, we had to arrive after 7pm. The owners were very understanding of this and accommodating. Helen was kind enough to light a fire in the wood-burning stove for us to warm the cottage and because we were arriving lateish, she left a nice letter on the kitchen side answering any questions we may have had about staying in the cottage (ie - recycling procedures, where to get more firewood, etc.)
The cottage itself was very cozy with a perfect amount of space for four adults. There was nothing lacking in any of the rooms and the kitchen was well-kitted out for cooking some warm hearty meals after long wet days of hiking in Snowdonia! The bed in our room was extremely comfortable and both my husband and I loved the heavy duvet during the cold autumn nights. We also enjoyed making friends with the owner's ginger cat, Max :)
The location is ideal, it is close enough to tour Snowdonia and surrounding towns, however it is a very small village and feels out of the way. There are takeaways less than 10 minutes away (for when you're just too cold and wet to consider cooking!) there are a few large Tesco's less than half-hour away (to stock up the kitchen upon arrival) and there is a corner store just up the street that has pretty much anything you might need to replenish during your stay.
What we liked best: The size and coziness of this cottage + the fireplace
What we liked least: Showers only, no bathtubs (not a huge issue, just the only one that sticks out in my mind).
