Stayed here for one night whilst walking in the area and chose the hotel based on other reviews here and the photos on their website. Let me just say the the room I stayed in didn't look anything like the pictures.

Paid £93 for a deluxe room and was placed in one of the 'lodge' style rooms around the back. The lady on check-in was busy working away on her computer and totally ignore my entrance. I interrupted her by saying 'hello'.

The room itself was extremely worn, tired, dated and dirty. The bed looked like it had been made by a ten-year-old. The cistern leaked meaning I could hear it filling up all night.

Add to that the railway line that runs metres away from the rear - the first train came past at 6am on the dot.

No outdoor lighting meant getting to and from the car park at night was extremely difficult. Wifi didn't work at all. When I rang reception the lady said she knew but there was nothing she could do about it.

An utter dump. Avoid.

Myself and a friend stayed here as a base for walking in the area and climbing Snowdon. It was easy to find, our room was detached from the main hotel in a 'motel style' drive up which made it great for unloading the car. Only a short walk into the main hotel and the leisure complex.
Breakfast was generous and just what we needed for the walking holiday!
Nice bar and restaurant too that we used in the evening.

We were attending a wedding reception and many of the guests then stayed the night. this hotel has recently gone through a considerable refurbishment of the public area and this has been done very well indeed. The first impression is of spaciousness with a welcoming reception area. the bar area is also spacious but not cavernous as there are lots of different areas. The reception was held in the large front diningroom and this was a very pleasant and bright room. the hotel staff were welcoming but not intrusive and the different parts of the day all went smoothly without the feeling of being organised. Our meal was served efficiently and the food was very good -and plenty of it.

After the formal meal and speeches, the staff cleared the room very quickly to get ready for the evening disco and party. The buffet served later was also excellent and provided a good selection of food.

Our room was really excellent - large bedroom area, a separate dressing area and good bathroom with two basins.. tea and coffee was provided as was iron/ironing board, a flat screen TV and plenty of extra blankets and pillows. Our room was in the main hotel but there are several rooms outside at the back in the style of lodges. Breakfast was buffet style but plenty of staff to help. There is also a swimming pool and spa but we didn't have time to use the facilities.

Another bonus was the very large car park and as the hotel is near the centre, no worries about trying to park in the busy village.

I would thoroughly recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: Rooms at the back or in the grounds are very quiet.

We arrived without prior booking. The staff was very helpful and pleasant. We accepted more expensive room. These room are detached from the main Hotel each a small unit, with entrance hall sitting room and large bedroom en suite. Very warm, comfortable bed. Lighting was rather poor, next day the fittings were cleaned with great improvement to light output. Supper is in the dining room or same menu can be ordered in the bar. Excellent choice of drinks, breakfast was self serve and excellent. We stayed two nights, will certainly stay there again when we return.

Room Tip: The rooms which are outside of main hotel are self contained and would be our choice, although they...

Had a great weekend here, Room was excellent at the back no 46 parked outside the door. But a long walk/slope back to the dining room. Too far for me so we drove the the main entrance. Sadly no designated parking spaces out the front. Hotel was busy and some times not able to park near the entrance.

Food was good but buffet breakfast could of been hotter but plenty of it. dinners very good. Main menu and daily specials.

Room Tip: Not able to use laptops as promised!

Would recommend "lodge style" rooms which are located at the rear of the hotel away from the main A5 road, which runs across the front of the hotel, although there is a railway line behind the rooms, not too much noise as trains only run every hour and finish around 21.00 hrs. Room was clean although the decor being brown in colour made the room dark-even during the day you will need the lights on.
Staff were very friendly and willing to help
Breakfast was buffet style, plenty of choice ranging from cereals, fruit, cooked breakfast and continental style. As with all buffet styles the cooked breakfast wasn't very hot

Room Tip: Choose lodge at rear of hotel-
