Had a lovely stay 2 night stay at Oakfield house b&b. It is a lovely place with very welcoming owners. Rooms are lovely and very clean. It is within walking distance of restaurants and pubs and a short drive to many attractions, such as swallow falls, snowdonia and slate and copper mines. Will defiantly be back.

Super stay. Booked one night and they very kindly let us leave our car in the car park for 3 nights while we went walking and camping. We came back exhaused after 2 nights out and were lucky to have the last vacancy on Sunday night so we enjoyed another superb night - everying perfect down to the welsh cakes and real milk in the room. Thank you - Diolch yn fawr iawn

We have stayed here prior to the new owners - Jen & Eddie Browne - taking ownership and renovating the house. What a wonderful surprise when we arrived in September to see the beautiful renovations. We loved our rooms and the breakfast room was bright and sunny and the food was fresh and cooked perfectly. Jen and Eddie made sure that our stay was pleasant and enjoyable. They took very good care of us. We will be making many more visits back to the Oakfield House. It is evident that Jen and Eddie are proud to be the new owners of this wonderful Bed & Breakfast.

Welcomed on arrival with tea/coffee and Welsh cake. House was immaculately clean and decorated beautifully. We were made to feel very welcome. Facilities very good and beds very comfortable. Breakfast was perfectly cooked. Views also lovely.

Trying to find accommodation suitable for families with twins (or even single babies) which mean you don't have to camp in the bathroom once you've put the children to bed are as rare as hens teeth. For Oakfield House it is bread and butter! There are 2 family suites - basically a large double room with an adjoining children's bedroom off it which allow you to put the munchkins down and then sit and relax in your own room. Perfect. We had room 6. The children's room was actually two bunks but some minor furniture re-arrangement by Eddie (one part of Jen and Eddie the owners who are brilliant hosts with nothing being too much trouble for them) meant we could fit 2 travel cots in there.

We were offered fresh tea and coffee on arrival which was a lovely welcome. It is located about 15 minutes walk from the centre of Betws-y-Coed opposite the river. It is on the main A5 but I can honestly say we didn't hear the traffic at all.

The B&B itself, breakfast room and bedrooms room were all spotlessly clean with really nice personal touches such as fresh flowers in our room, a corkscrew, lovely toiletries and complimentary bottled water and biscuits. There is also free wifi. The whole place has been recently refurbished and it has been done very well.

The breakfast was simply fantastic - everything was freshly cooked and locally sourced. There is a nice buffet bar with cereals, yoghurt, fresh fruit and juices etc and then a Welsh breakfast cooked how you want it. They also provided 2 fab high chairs (we have tested quite a few on our 2 week tour of Wales) and were very happy to welcome our 8 month old twins into the breakfast room, even making them some scrambled egg to try.

I would definitely recommend this gem of a B&B to anyone, but particularly anyone with children who wants a good base for exploring Snowdonia and to be greeted with excellent customer service and lovely owners.

Room Tip: For those with children / babies definitely worth spending on a family suite (£120 per night)

An absolutely fantastic B & B Jen & Eddie very good host's, very welcoming, nothing to much trouble. The whole B & B was spotlessly clean, the room was perfect couldn't find fault with anything. The breakfast was exceptional, quality, quantity and choice perfect for every-one.Will highly recommend to friend's and family and will definatly stay there again.

WOW Oakfield House is just beautiful. Top quality in everything. Room great with lovely furnishings. Breakfast was amazing and the best that we have even in seven weeks of travelling. Great location - quiet and beautiful views. Casual stroll into town. Highly recommend Oakfiled House - Jen and Eddie are the perfect hosts. Would dearly love to come ack for a much longer stay.

Room Tip: Fantastic accommodation - hard to beat
