My wife and I were really looking forward to our evening as having children we don't get to go out much.the food was fantastic plenty of choice we both chose steak for our main course and they were cooked perfectly and they are not skimpy with their portions.the staff were very attentive and helpful. overall we had a perfect evening and will definitely go again when we can get a babysitter.

Stayed three nights end of October; dined once in restaurant, twice in bar which was much better. Food was excellent, so much choice, even for me a veggie!!!!! Both very busy, always need to book in advance for dining.
Tariffs for rooms are very reasonable.
Stayed room No.2, twin, smallish. Had understood that ensuites had all been refurbished, but ours didn't look if it had been. Dark tiles, no heating, no extractor, no opening window, a light bulb not working. Towels small, not bath sheets unfortunately, very worn and frayed, but clean.
Nowhere to hang outdoor coats in bedroom. Heating on in morning then off until late afternoon.

Room Tip: Even though some rooms are facing the busy road, and during the day it sounds noisy, not much traffic late evening/during night. Choose an ensuite room!!!

We arrived at Ty Gwyn without having made a reservation. The Restaurant was completely full but the owner took a great deal of time to ensure we were fitted in after taking a drink in the lounge. It was worth the wait because the meal was excellent and enjoyed by our whole party. Will definitely return one day.

We stayed here in November for one night and found it to be a lovely, cosy place, especially at that time of year. The room was homely and comfortable, and we had a fantastic meal in the restaraunt next to a roaring log fire. Highly recommended, and in a beautiful location.
