It is stunningly beautiful, tranquil, peaceful and if every one visit's it will be ruined. No facilities other than a couple of seats and picnic bench but here that is a good thing.

We walked here on our way to Conwy Falls and were lucky enough to have some sunshine which highlighted the beauty of the Fairy Glen. Its worth paying the honesty box to explore to river just beware of wet rocks otherwise you might explore the river too much as I did. Doh!!

We walked there on the way to Conwy Falls and stopped off for a look. When the sun comes down through the tress the views are magic. If you have the patience you can get some great pictures.

Well I wish I had read the reviews on here beforehand! - we too were chased by a man who said we had put £2 in the honesty box instead of £3! I queried this as I thought it was 50p per person and there was 4 of us, but I had also missed the £1 parking fee, silly me! He was okay about it though, not nasty, and we had a good laugh after he had gone at the effort he had made running after us for the extra quid especially as it was dusk and we knew we wouldn't have much time to get round - you don't need much time though, its around 20 mins in and out and that's with the dog having a swim....as others have said, take a picnic and you might feel as though you are at least getting near to VFM!

Woe betide anyone not putting the correct amout of money in the drop box (honest mistake), the owner will appear by magic like a screeming banshee and demand the correct fee. There are better ways to correct a mistake than shouting after you to demand the extra £1!!!!!!
The fee is meant for upkeep of this private site, yet at the fairy glen we found the steps down to the river site treacherous under foot, with NO warning signs as we both ended up slipping on the rocks. This is not an attraction for children.
Speaking with our B&B hosts in Betws Y Coed they too have had simular experiences with this 'attraction' and the shrieking owners.
So, if you fancy a relaxing walk to the fairy glen, make sure you don't make any honest mistakes utherwise it won't be a fairy you see, it'll be the magic shrieking man.
