The 1 pound 50 charge to access Swallow Falls was well worth it. The power and beauty of Swallow Falls shouldn't be missed. The only minor disappointment that we had was the fact that we could not hike around the area.

There's a lot of steps but it's worth it. Would have been nice to have a little coffee shop where the seating area is

“Natural beauty hidden away”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 May 2012 via mobile

Found it bizarre to have to pay to see natural waterfalls. Having said that it was only £1 per person so not so bad. Make sure you have £1 coin ready as there are turnstiles that require the correct amount. Free parking but in summer months can be chaotic! Well maintained walk inside the compound, and the waterfalls themselves are magnificent - romantic setting for valentines photos.

“Amazing”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 May 2012

The most spectacular waterfall imaginable and with the recent heavy rain, at full throttle. It costs a derisory amount to enter, descend the steps and feel the power of nature up close and personal. There's a car park opposite but you have to pay; if you can get into the lay-by on the side of the falls, it's free - a bit like Aysgarth, from what I remember, but unlike that one in the t'Yorkshire Dales - Hardraw Force? - where you have to go into someone's private garden and pay through the nose - well, dear reader,I didn't.
