Owner description: These falls add to Betws-y-Coed's already great rustic beauty.

The falls were particularly impressive the day we went as there had been a lot of rain. The noise of the water was roaring. Despite the number of visitors everyone let people take their turns and hundreds of photographs were taken!
The only negative was you had to pay in coins to get through the entrance turnstile. I did not mind paying but if you did not have the change you could not enter. There was no coin change machine or staff manning the turnstile. Maybe there is in the summer however not during the May holiday.
Overall a must see.

Absolutely loved this place - although the water was noisy it was so peaceful and tranquil. The steps might be a problem for some but with a bit of puffing and panting we got back to the top!

Be sure to have coins as there is fencing and a gate that requires 1.5 pounds per person in order to get through to see the Falls. There is an impressive, forceful upper falls, and a not quite as forceful lower falls. Warm up afterward at a nice Inn right across the road.
