Looking round Betws-y-Coed for a decent coffee bar can be a bit depressing - most look fairly functional with dated decor and furniture but then we found this place by chance. Nicely decorated with interesting furniture and a good selection of teas, cakes and sandwiches. This is by far the best place for a morning or afternoon break. Their lemon tarts are to die for. Worth a visit if you are in Betws-y-Coed.

Went to Betws for a day out with our new daughter & my parents. After a nice stroll around Betws we stopped for something to eat. Looking nice from the outside we went into Alpine & it was even better on the inside.
Food was amazing, cakes delicious, locally sourced drinks excellent, baby changing facilities were spotless, decor & atmosphere lovely, we couldn't fault anything! 10 out of 10!

Been going here for years since discovering this refreshing oasis while on a short break.

The food is always excellent with a wide choice for vegitarian, vegan and omnivorous diets which is a refreshing change.
To top this, they actively raise money to protect the great apes whose images adorn the cafe creating lovely imagery to look at whilst enjoying your meal.

Only criticism is that you can wait a while to be served but, the wait is absolutely worth while.

Been here several times now and always somewhere to look forward to when visiting this part of Snowdonia. Lunchtime food excellent - imaginative salads and cakes washed down with good coffee and soft drinks.
Don't worry about the queue - it is worth the wait and the space outside is a bonus when looking for tables on a busy day. Friendly staff.
