“Charming and comfortable cottage”

This cottage is in a lovely situation in the grounds of an award winning B & B, with outside space shared with the main house. It is an attractive stone cottage with bedrooms on the lower floor, and kitchen, bathroom and lounge at the upper level. It is very comfortably furnished, with lots of homely touches, and the owners Lesley and Mike are charming and friendly, and are available to offer advice on places to visit, restaurants etc. The cottage is on the outskirts of the delightful Betws y Coed, which is just a short 7 minute walk away. The gardens are lovely, with an abundance of wildlife, and we were fortunate to have gloriously warm and sunny weather so that we could enjoy eating outside. Betws y Coed itself is in a perfect central position for visiting all the landmarks of Snowdonia, and this cottage is in a very quiet and peaceful situation just across the river, and reached by a pedestrian bridge.
We enjoyed a wonderful week in this charming property, and would love to visit again in the future.

Thank you so much for your review, it is very much appreciated. Mike and i could not be more delighted you had a great week in the cottage, we do our very best to ensure it is of a high standard and comfortable for guest's to enjoy. At this time of year it is a delight to sit outside and the Gardens are really colourful and as you say so much wild life especially forest bird's. We would love to welcome you back one day as I am sure you now realise there is so much to see and do in North Wales. Once again our thanks. Lesley

We visited the cottage for 4 nights and it was absolutely amazing! The property was very pretty, and fitted out with all the mod cons. Very spacious, and everything we needed. Great location - less than a 10 minute walk into town. Mike and Lesley couldn't have been nicer! A real gem, would definitely recommend.

Fantastic little cottage within very easy walking distance of Betws-y-Coed and all its services, so it was also excellent value. We had a lovely comfortable week there and were also lucky with the weather, which meant we could make full use of the sunshiny patio. Mike and Lesley are very friendly and helpful. We love the freedom of self-catering so this was perfect for us.

Excellent accommodation for up to 4 people, with a comfortable living room, a twin and a double bedroom downstairs and a well appointed kitchen. There are an outdoor table and chairs adjacent to the kitchen and in the garden shared with the main house. Beautiful woods adjoin the property and form a significant part of the lovely views. The town is easily reached by a footpath and a fascinating suspension footbridge across the river. Mike and Lesley are very friendly and helpful. This was my third stay at Tyn Y Fron, and I have a great holiday each time.

We needed a week to unwind and relax and had this lovely cottage recommended to us by family who had stayed last year. We had a great week and the the cottage is in a very peaceful and beautiful area on the outskirts of Betws-y-Coed, just a 7 minute walk across fields by footpath and over bridge. Village is great and has good range of shops etc. Great base for walking and exploring Snodonia National Park. Mike and Lesley are lovely hosts and very helpful. Will definitely be returning as soon as we can.

“Tyn y fron cottage is an idylic retreat in Snowdonia which is one of the most picturesque places we have every visited”
Reviewed 4 August 2012 for a stay in July 2012

Tyn y Fron cottage is a cosy cottage ideally located for access to the pretty village of Betws Y Coed and for exploring the Snowdonia National Park.
The cottage is in a peaceful area allowing you to relax and completely "chill out" yet it is only a 7 minute walk down a county path to the village of Betws Y Coed (the sheep you meet along the way are very friendly) and there are plenty of shops, pubs and restaurants to visit.
