don't let the fact this place is a little out of town out you off. take a walk from the town to the waterfalls -about 2 miles..

we had food off their 2 for £10 menu, and where pleasantly surprised the minted lamb hot pot was great.

I camped here for 3 nights and found it good value for money,. The service in the bar and restaurant was excellent, as was the food and beer. It has excellent views from the top of the campsite and a good breakfast menu too.

There is a bus stop outside the hotel if you wish to go to the village or to Snowdon. I found the manager very friendly as were the reception and bar staff. If you are wanting to stay somewhere quiet then this is ideal, be aware if you are on foot and are coming from Betwys-y-coed it is a 2km walk but if you are a walker then this is not a problem.

On arrival our party of 3 were directed to a room in an adjacent block to the hotel, not what we had booked as described ,the room was clean but dated and a disabled wet room and toilet, after a return to reception we were told there were no more DOG friendly rooms available, guess what ,we didn't have a dog.We were eventually offered a room in the main block ,this was clean but bath had darkened silicone in the corner of the bath and a bit on grouting in various places,(this would take about 1 hour to sort out so why let it get to that).we were only there for 2 nights and room and bedding were clean, breakfast in the restaurant was good, also a handy bar with good pub grub at reasonable prices.WIFI not very good, you have to try and find good spots for reception.I can only say rooms are basic but adequate.

Room Tip: Ask if it's possible to view the room before you agree to pay for full stay.

We had a great two night stay at the Swallow Falls Hotel with our two dogs. The room was very nice and a good size for us and the dogs. We were able to take the dogs with us in to the bar where we had dinner, the fish and chips were really lovely. Everyone we met was very helpful and we were able to swap breakfast for a packed lunch to take on our hike up Snowdon as we were leaving very early, this was a real bonus although we really enjoyed breakfast the next day. Will definitely stay here again if we are ever crazy enough to hike Snowdon again but I think we could find another reason to stay and visit other parts of Snowdonia.

We enjoyed a great 2 nights staying in the hotel. We had a well presented twin room, and enjoyed a lovely afternoon tea & breakfasts as part of our package. Welcoming and helpful staff, lovely setting, and great location. Would come back here again.
