“Peaceful, charming, relaxing in the heart of wales with gorgeous views”
Reviewed 24 July 2015 for a stay in July 2015

Plus's

Comfortable sofa's
Plenty of kitchen equipment for cooking
Good beds and pillows
Clean
Very, very quiet as no traffic!
Plenty of walking from on cottage door step.
Wifi, essential with teenagers
Loads of games, so don't need to bring any other than playing cards.
A dishwasher......so even if you don't normally use one bring some.
A separate fridge and freezer separate.

There are no draw backs to this rental, only that be very mindful for having a peaceful and relaxing time as its around 9 miles to any shop ( spar or Londis) for essentials.
The sink and draining board is very small, so to have the dishwasher was a great help.
Parking is limited directly outside the property, as the cottage is in a row of terraces, but we were fine parking at the back, although blocking a van in, we checked with the neighbour if it was ok. It wasn't a problem for us for the week.
Right at the end of a valley opposite a disused slate mine.
Lovely retreat for a week.

Sandy. Thanks for the review. I'm glad you had a good time. It is very peaceful and tranquil. If you stay next time various supermarkets deliver direct to the cottage. Anyway, thanks again. Jon

“Most beautiful place”
Reviewed 3 November 2014 for a stay in October 2014

We had an amazing week staying in this lovely cottage. The location is stunning in a friendly beautiful small village. We climbed up the mountain to the disused slate mine, visited the nearby waterfalls and did the high rope course in betws y coed. Betws y Coed in only 15 mins away for the shops and has lovely walks. It was Halloween while we were there and we joined the local children's adventure club and went trick and treating and told ghost stories on the spooky bridge - everyone was so friendly.
The cottage itself is vey well equipped and warm with wifi and satellite TV- couldn't ask for more. Thank you

“Peaceful, homely cottage surrounded by beautiful scenery.”
Reviewed 30 July 2014 for a stay in July 2014

Cwm cottage is in the most stunning of places, the pictures don't do it justice. It's in a valley, mountains, greenery, forrestry as far as the eye can see, an old slate quarry one way which is actually a much nicer walk than I imagined and fields the other way.
The cottage is in a street with a few others and then it's just nature.
We found this perfect, exactly what we wanted, it could be very isolated for some though so be aware of this. I would strongly advise arranging to bring all food etc with you or for a delivery to the cottage as tescos is a good 30mins away. However there are Dvds, books, board games and a tv in the cottage and there's lots to do within 30mins drive each way.
There are plenty of utensils in the kitchen and the cooker, oven and mirceowave are quite modern and work well.
The shower is basic but works well, beds are comfy, bedrooms have good amounts of storage and the sofas and living room space is a nice area to relax.
John Paul was very communicative via email and gave us more than enough information prior to our arrival.

This cottage gave us such a welcome break and we were constantly in awe at the beautiful surroundings and scenery we were met with when walking and driving around the local area.
I would wholeheartedly recommend this cottage.

Had a lovely break with my husband and three grown up children. The house was vey smart and very homely. It was lovely and warm and had everything our family needed. A large bath, comfortable beds and a well equipped kitchen. Would gladly recommend this house which had the bonus of Internet and satellite TV.

“Wonderful stay :-)”
Reviewed 14 October 2013 for a stay in October 2013

We had a wonderful stay at Cwm Cottage. I cannot recommend it highly enough! It is in a fabulously tranquil setting. My toddler loved the playground down the road (swing & slide), my mother-in-law enjoyed exploring the old slate quarry (down the road) and I was highly impressed by the fabulous accommodation!
Thank you Jon! :-)

“Peace & Tranquility hidden in Welsh Valley”
Reviewed 9 September 2013 for a stay in September 2013

The cottage is located in peace and quiet of Cwm Penmachno.
It is very well equipped as a holiday cottage, including free wifi. We found everything had been thought of to make our stay very comfortable.
Washer/dryer very handy, especially in Wales.
Stone floor downstairs is great and practical for the dog.
Log burner is delightful.
A great place to stay.

“Stunning views and very peaceful.”
Reviewed 7 September 2013 for a stay in September 2013

What a cosy cottage. the area is stunning and you can walk straight from the door. Well placed for Snowdonia national park and surrounding area without being busy and crowded. Cottage has everything you will need, well equipped kitchen, cosy sitting area and comfy beds. Washer dryer came in very handy for all the walking clothes. We really enjoyed our stay. One small point for dog owners, as with most of North Wales there are sheep EVERYWHERE including the hills surrounding the cottage, unless your dog is totally sheep proof they will have to spend a lot of time on the lead. Ours didn't mind too much as there are a lot of lovely beaches within a reasonable drive that welcome dogs.
