“Fabulously Friendly”
Reviewed 19 March 2014 via mobile

The greeting on our arrival was like old friends. Our room was clean and warm. The staff were very helpful and friendly they spent time with us, discussing local walks and area. The evening meal was just delicious and dessert was even better! On the morning we were greeted to a fabulous treat of a full English and was prepared and served with a smile and friendly chat. Will definitely be back again very soon.

“WHAT A TRANSFORMATION”
Reviewed 7 March 2014 via mobile

I visited the Gwydyr Cafe and Gifts for lunch today and was suprised by the changes that have taken place since Christmas when I last visited. I had the home made soup and sandwich sitting beside the log fire it was delicious. I look forward to going back again soon. Got my Mum a lovely mother's day gift from the shop too.

“Very bad service”
Reviewed 27 December 2013

We popped in for a bite to eat at lunchtime and despite being handed menus, no-one came back within 15 minutes. We could see staff in the kitchen but they seemed more interested in chatting amongst themselves rather than serving customers. After trying fruitlessly to get anyone's attention we left and went up the road to a much better place. Best move we made!

“Not Freindly”
Reviewed 9 November 2013

Me and my work colleague spent the night in Betws y Coed to break up a long journey. I don't normally write reviews but was compelled to do so about this place. Basically the food was old and cold, obviously just been re-heated and the staff were unfriendly. I've been around the world in my 50 odd years but this place is rock bottom.

“Bad food and service”
Reviewed 28 August 2013

We came for dinner with a group of 7. Tried to order food and drinks at the bar but were left alone for more than 5 minutes without anyone showing up. The Ale was bad and food not better: After noticing that the salad coming with the pasta came without dressing, we asked the waitress for some. After taking it back to the kitchen she returned saying that they "did not have any dressing in mind for this salad". Would never go there again.
